As part of Target's July 31st reset, Hasbro's new Heroes figures were put out on shelves. I forgot the exact name. Remember how SHS, Robot Heroes and Galactic Heroes were molded in non-neutral positions?
Well the new Heroes figures now are more consistent. Swivel neck, wrists, hinged hips(connected), and ball jointed shoulders. Gone are the "fixed" poses, the legs are now straight. What other line has the exact same thing going on? Mattel's Imaginext Admittedly, I've always been tempted by Imaginext, because of the consistency. The playsets look cool, as do the vehicles. Roster is great. Target has a shelf display of the DC figures and they look cool. It's kind of like having a posable gashapon. With Hasbro stepping up to compete, I have been tempted to get some Hasbro Heroes. Maybe I'll start with Darth Vader. Right now I think Mattel has Hasbro beat when it comes to playsets. The Imaginext sets look awesome. Wanted your thoughts so, which do you think is better, Imaginext or the new Hasbro Heroes?

I made a comparison video on Youtube, but here are the same points
1. They are not in exact scale with each other (Imaginext is slightly larger), but can be mixed if your not too picky. 2. Hasbro Heroes feet are not compatible to the Imaginext action plates. 3. Hasbro Heroes Hulk is pretty "normal" looking imo. 4. Imaginext has a huge advantage in regards to sets and vehicles. It also seems to me that the quality of the Imaginext figures seem a little better too. I hope Hasbro does a good job though, healthy competition would be a win for the consumer. |
