I noticed that Toy Ark did not have any Threads to discuss the Indiana Jones line so I thought I'd start one.
The IJ line is one of my favorite of 2008. I know its not as articulate as Star Wars or as anticipated as GI Joe. However, I purchased one of everything and even multiples on some to open. I was a little disappointed by some of the lack of articulation. However, overall I really like the line. I am sad to hear they are discontinuing it. Anyone know where we will find the Temple of Doom line? I want to make sure and get those figures. Will they hit retail or will Internet be the only way (If any way at all?). I wish this line could have been done better as far as distribution. That is what killed it. Sucked to get the Last Crusade figs you had to get cases of all the old crap just for 2 of the new figs. Retailers grew sick of that real fast. I would have liked to have seen it rolled out like GI Joe was including putting figures on the classic card backs. What would have made it better for you?

I was into it at first, figures did not impress. Still never got the mail away.
Love the Mutt fig My vipers are in a IJ Troop carrier ATM, though.

I thought I saw somewhere that HASBRO was going to use that IJ troop carrier mold for a GI Joe toy. Anyone else seen that?

Dude, I see him all the time. He's even in the new Target exclusive 5-pk. I may have an extra one for you if you need it.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of my all-time favorite films so I was really looking forward to these figures. The figures themselves are great, as long as you got ones with good paint apps. It's just a shame they never got around to releasing key characters like Toht.

It's funny, I have that same shelf of stuff. I really had hoped that this line would have legs, but with the EPIC PHAIL on the part of retailers to use common sense in ordering this line, it was not to be.
I did like what they had to say about new stuff in the last Indy Q&A though, that the figures that were cancelled at the tail end of this line, would lead out the new line in anticipation of a new movie. Now somebody hand me a Short Round and a TOD Temple Guard so my shelf is complete for the time being.

There's a Sean Connery figure at Target on clearance right now. You want me to pick it up for you should it still be there?

I found this at Target on clearance for $3.30 (which is pretty dang cool, too, considering it is the first time I have seen it)
I really would like to pick up another to do a Miles Mayhem MASK figure.
