I just ordered them off the Internet, I only had to pay 5 bucks extra of what I would of paid for at stores and I got the Mandarin for only 25 bucks, I think they did slip through the cracks.

I do agree that there is a lack of movie based enemy figures in the line but I'm hopeful that this will change with the revamp of the armored avenger line.
I will say I dig a good few of these repaints that shield breaker Iron man is pretty sweet |

Both 01-05 and 44-46 are Concept Series. There aren't any Comic Series in this first wave, apparently.

Yessir, opened them all... I'm not terribly in love with them. While I realize there needs to be a lot of color variety on the shelf, it feels like a pack of Skittles. Made up armors in bright, primary colors that aren't connected to anything from a canon standpoint. There's still many armors from the comics yet to be represented, and there's at least another 35 figures in the line, so I'm optimistic.
War Machine actually works well and feels solid. I don't recall if there's any impact to the shoulders; I think I would have noticed if it was particularly bad. I especially like that the body is solid, not translucent, so the glow comes only from the chest beam (the opposite of which was the biggest flaw in the IM power glow, from my perspective). The Reactor Shift IM doesn't work for me; even when pegged in properly, the midsection looks unnatural. Not a "WOW, OMG" start with this first wave, but I'm certainly looking forward to having a line to carry us through to the next movie. |

Also think the set looks like a bunch of skittles, I'm going to cherry pick in lieu of buying most of them. Last year I completed the initial waves of IM2, but won't be completing waves of Armored Avenger this year.

Likely. Why put out the figures that we would actually want and that kids who also collect can actually have their Iron Man and War Machines fight? It's not like they'd actually want a villain to have their heroes fight against (note sarcasm).

That's why I just finally broke down and pulled the trigger ordering them online. Not too disappointed either, Mandarin and Whiplash are awesome while Ult. Iron Man is surprisingly good. Only disappointment was the War Machine.

for this line, im only interest with drone concept series, the others are not interested since they only get repaint and add new accesorries..i think better they make different armor again from comic series, that will be more worth it. in my country all that concept series are becomes scrap in retail shop, anyone doesnt want to buy it even they already decrease the price !!!..
for next 4 comic series, im only get ultimate iron man, war machine and whiplash. the mandarin is very hard to find, wonder if this wave are last series from comic version ?? so they only make it in a few stock and dont want to continue again ???...confusing

quick update, in case anyone cares: I've started seeing this wave for $6 at Marshall's discount stores in the Seattle area - almost a year and a half after they were due at retail! Between the two I've been to I found:
Subterranean IM (dull Deep Dive repaint) Storm Surge IM (bright Deep Dive repaint) Reactor Shift (mkIV with new torso) Artillery WM (blue repaint) Mark V IM Exosphere IM (mkVI repaint) Shield Breaker IM (yellow mkIII) Inferno IM (translucent red mkIV) The glowing WM, HAMMER Whiplash, and the smokey Stealth repaint still elude me... I only got a Reactor Shift for an "in progress" armor, and the two Deep Dive repaints because I couldn't make up my mind between them (and I never got the blue one). I can post pics/thoughts if anyone is interested. |

Same here, except I've been fortunate to find the glowing WM and the Sonic Storm armor. For repaints, they're really nice, and the price is right!
