Well, I know my daughter's going to love playing with the Repuslor when Daddy goes toy-hunting. She loves the Transformer blaster arm toys, especially the ROTF Bumblebee version.
If there's a War Machine version in the works, I might actually buy one for once.

This is awesome, but I have no idea how Hasbro can forgive themselves for this:
"In 2010, the line will include 17 IRON MAN action figures, as well as five supporting characters and villains." It's just so blatant |

In any case, hopefully it's 17 different, relevant armors. Terrible that the supporting characters and villains got shafted. BAD.

I can't remember, did we confirm that they had comic accurate Iron Man figures accompanying the movie versions like XMO:W?
Cause they could do a lot in that case. Hopefully we'll get a true Silver Centurion soon. |

Yup. They are doing comic versions just like XMO:W. Not sure exactly how many villains or supporting characters will be done in this manner, though.

IRON MAN 2 ROLLING BATTLE HEADQUARTERS
(Approximate Retail Price: $34.99; Ages 4 & up; Available: Fall 2010) Even IRON MAN must restock supplies and examine reconnaissance data while flying around protecting the Earth, and that is what makes the IRON MAN 2 ROLLING BATTLE HEADQUARTERS such a great addition to the toy line in 2010. The playset clamshells open to reveal a wide array of features, including electronic lights and sounds, a projectile-firing Gatling gun, and a light-up computer monitor where kids can display their collectible “Armor Cards.” The vehicle comes with a figure, armor accessories and three “Armor Cards.” From the description given I picture something similar to G1 Optimus Prime's trailer, only bigger. Could be cool. |

Sounds like Hasbro's found a way to use all those GI Joe PIT's that no one bought.

Wow this is cool. That playset though....I think their is like 10 ways to make it eh.....3 ways to make it cool and maybe only 1 to make it awesome....So here's to hoping Hasbro pulls through.
Would anybody be pissed if that figure that comes with it is a Tony Stark figure? Ok so 17 figures Comic Series - Iron Man (Mark I) Iron Man (Blast Off) Iron Man (Stealth Operations) Crimson Dynamo War Machine Movie Series - Iron Man (Mark I) Iron Man (Mark II) Iron Man (Mark III) Iron Monger Concept Series - Iron Man (Deep Armor Dive Armor) Iron Man (Hypervelocity Armor) Iron Man (Power Assault Armor) So we already know 12 of them 9 of which are Iron Man suits, 3 which are others (War Machine, Crimson Dynamo and Iron Monger) and beyond we know Whiplash. So that leaves about 8 more Iron Main suits and 1 more Villian/other (17 IM suits and 5 other right?) GUESSES?!?!. Last edited by Tarquinius; 01-26-2010 at 08:53 PM.. |

17 Iron Man figures. 5 other figures. So that's 22 figures.
Yet: Marvel News Reviews Images and more - MarvelousNews.com See the figure number? 26. Maybe they're not counting the Concept Series figures where are #4-6 and #17. It would add up. |

That's really interesting. Hmmm it could be that. You think the playset is "numbered"?' BTW Crimson Dynamo is 25, Stealth is 24, Warmachine is 23 and Iron Man Mark 1 (comic) is 22. So probably 22-26 is the comic series. So I guess what...17-21 ish is the unknown? Last edited by Tarquinius; 01-26-2010 at 09:37 PM.. |

Actually, I found it! This is from ToyArk, but I can't find the news post:
First one in the second row is the Inferno Mission Armor (I think that's what it says). That was the name of a previously announced Concept Series one and that seems to be what the card says. |

Comic Line -
War Machine Crimson Dynamo Blast off Ironman Classic Stealth Ironman Mk I Comic Version Movie Line- Mk I Mk II Mk III Mk IV Mk V Mk VI Iron Monger War Machine Enemy Drones Whiplash (unshown as yet) Tony Stark (presumably since the 6'' line isn't mentioned as returning) (I forgot which ones were the red silvers, so I left those off for now) Concept Armor Series- Deep Sea Armor Hyper Velocity Armor Deluxe Series (these come with all sorts of snap on weaponry that bulk the figure up even moreso than the normal accessories)- Ironman (forgot name but uses one of the red and silver torsos in red and gold. Power Assault armor?) Ironman (forgot Name) So that's 20 plus or minus 2 Not counting playsets or vehicles, or repaints. (except for the stealth one) Also Not counting the concept armors that look like they were from the 6'' line, but they may be downsized to fit too. So that leaves an open slot of 7 armors or people if the count is already at 26. Here's hoping for a Rhodey to go with stark! The red and silvers may be the mk IV - VI so no clue there either (at least 2 of em as shown previously on in packaged figures, we know the MK V or VI is red and silver, maybe both, the MK IV is a red and gold armor). Inferno armor is rumored, so that puts us at 21. So the question remains, who are the last 5 figures? I'd assume a Justin Hammer of some kind potentially in the movie line, Rescue in the comic line (PLEASE MAKE IT SO!), Movie black Widow, and maybe more drone repaints (Since the minimates seem to have 3 different kinds or so) or removable mask James Rhodes (stark repaint?). Though honestly those last 3 slots could be anyone or armor. Most of the ironman armors just swap a few parts anyway, like power assault, and movie war machine's gloves, etc. Probably a red and gold war machine repaint too. The mold use is very well done for the few bits of part repitition. It's barely noticeable on the photos unless you compare them flat out detail to detail. I'm hoping on Rescue, since she's in the stark dissassembled storyline and before it just like the classic armor was reused in that storyline that's in this line instead of extremis, like how the XMO wolverine toyline seemed to pick randomly around the same timeline. Though that was hit or miss too, but they did include the muramasa blade with brown suit wolvy just like the comic Wolverine Origins had, and they used astonishing Cyclops like the comic W: Origins had, and even the wolverine two pack with colossus is from New X-Men/Recent Uncanny X-Men. Movie Black Widow also seems like a no brainer though especially since her comic version will be in MU. It'd be nice if they extend the comic line to include more baddies though. Like Madame Masque, Titanium Man, the other Dynamo armor, among more! Heck even Stiltman, Beetle, or iron patriot! (Or whatever other rogues can be dredged up, or are being used in the stark dissassembled storyline.) AFAIK, the only one off the table entirely right now is Mandarin, since he's presumably in Ironman 3 or 4 as Favreau has hinted at. Do they count war machine as an armor or a supporting character? Cause with my list, I'm 2 short of the Ironman 17 armors without him included. (Counting removable helmet stark, and Inferno Mission Armor. Though I didn't count the obligatory red and gold war machine either, or any concept armors I can't remember either.) Last edited by Snowflakian; 01-28-2010 at 02:57 AM.. |

LOL lots of good questions. I think we have to also think about the timeline for XMO: W last year. If I remember correctly Colossus and a few other toys were announced in the summer/SDCC. So it is entirely possible that this is just the batch they are starting us with and others like Rescue could come later on.
For WarMachine, I've always thought that because 1) he is piloted by Rhodey 2) because aestethically his suit doesn't possess that power cell in the middle that I think they may consider him a side character? What would really help us to tell would be to see the card excerpt on the back and see if they mention Rhodey. Speaking of Warmachine, in that picture above posted by Zeo, it shows two Warmachines......bottom row last two. |

there are two war machines in the line up.
Comic Series, and Movie Series. Movie Series does have an arc generator in the chest, but it's covered by plating. Like wolverine, expect the comic series to hit first followed by movie 2 figures close to a month or so prior to movie release. So we may see any movie 1 figures in this scale prior. But who knows. For now it seems that the comic series cases are first. Which is great for me, cause all I really want right now is war machine and dynamo. The one thing I'm really hoping on, is they do the same as XMO:Wolverine. Which used mostly costumes from the current wolverine origins arc, right before teh daken reveal. They also included the colossus from the same time frame in the two pack, then a classic one single carded. Cyclops was the same as from his Origins appearance trying to keep the muramasa blade from daken. The brown suit wolvy was mostly shown in origins. Most of the IM comic series is from the current IM story of stark disassembled, and his running from osborn. Classic armor, classic dynamo, the mk I. And then the obligatory classic war machine, and stealth repaint which wasn't in the storyline (similiar to colossus and iceman in XMO). So maybe we'll get the War Machine V2(has a chest beam), or V3 (alien armor) later? Or even the V4 and V5(initiative and cyborg rhodes both have chest beams) in the comic series.
