Iron Man Armored Avenger 4" figures are now showing up at TJ Maxx. Yes, the figures that briefly showed up at only certain TRU stores but largely never hit mass market retail!
This isn't a case of "HEY I WILL BE A CHEAP ASS AND WAIT FOR DISCOUNT", no these figures never MADE it to most mass market stores because the older Iron Man 2 stuff wasn't, and still isn't selling! I would have bought them full price had they made it to stores like Target and were easier to find! Anyways this series has some cool repaints and some "new" figures. I got Power Glow War Machine, armored Whiplash(listed as Hammer Drone), and the translucent grey Iron Man with purple. I dig translucence, wanted armored Whiplash over jumprope psycho convict Whiplash and I wanted Power Glow War Machine. Like Power Glow mk VI Iron Man, War Machine DOES have ball jointed shoulders but with very limited sideways articulation. I suspect more of these will be seen once TJ Maxx starts getting their Fall toys in August. TJ Maxx sells them for $5.99.

I was able to find the power glow Warmachine that I wanted from TJMaxx. I left behind a few others. I have only seen 4 different guys because there are only 2 of these stores in my county.

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere already, but can someone point me to a list of all these Iron Man figures (the ones that did not see mass distribution)? Thanks in advance.

Could also post this in the IN STOCK thread. :P
I'm so confused by what is right and wrong on here though! Some close threads when they're already covered in the 3.75 thread and some open new ones when they're covered in the 3.75 and both are ok, I feel like mommy is telling me one thing and daddy is telling me the other! Haha This is awesome though.. I would love a armored Whiplash. I'll be hitting these up real soon!

That's not Armored Whiplash. That is the prototype drone before/while Vanko was working on them.
There is an Armored Whiplash figure that never made it to production. One of the 'Arkers here managed to get a hold of a prototype of that figure: Google Image Result for http://www.toyark.com/attachments/7410d1312238104-epsn8126.jpg (This is a link back to this forum, I had to use Google to find it.) |

Ah, haven't seen the pic, just thought it was actually making it to retail now and was going by what was posted. Either way, I need all Iron Man suits that aren't terribly ugly.

Oh, I dunno, seems like there were a couple decent armors in that last wave of toys.
The Ark Shift wasn't too bad. I liked the Deep Dive repaints (not the crap that came with them, mind you.) The last War Machine repaint was nice, the translucent Inferno armor was pretty cool too (again, not the crap that came with him). The light-up War Machine wasn't over the top gimmicky. The semi-translucent Hypervelocity repaint wasn't too bad, could have been better though. And of course the Drone. Not really movie accurate in any sense and kind of a waste of spot that could have been the Armored Whiplash, but a Drone none the less. The C-3P0 armor was a POS though. All in all, that last wave of figures wasn't too bad. Most are worth hunting down, IMHO. Last edited by Pros From Dover; 07-06-2012 at 08:02 AM.. |

The famous marveluniverse375 weebly link to the pics was broken that was posted earlier, I think the whole site is down currently? Anyone have a quick rundow of this series with pics elsewhere?

The same guy that put together the Armored Avengers checklist/pic guide did one for the IM2 line as well:
Iron Man 2 - Marvel Universe 3.75" Is that what you're looking for? |

I would hope so, but I doubt we'll see an IM2 character in the Avengers line.
Maybe in the IM3 toy line. If at all. Though...they have/are going to release all of the other prototype figures that I am aware of. (Not withstanding the Unmasked set, since that did go into production on some level) |
