Well the MJF likeness is a little better than the hoverboard statue, but they both look like very good cosplayers haha

I must admit, I've never seen a clock referred to as a "big time meter" before, so props on that, and Marty here looks better than the BTTF2 Marty (though still subpar)

The clock not being real, though, that is bizarre to me. Analog clock mechanisms are dirt cheap and would've cost a pittance for them to integrate, but nigh impossible for the consumer if they made the clock a solid hunk of resin. That sucks

I agree in that MJF likeness is better. I like this piece a lot. I'll have to remember this if my wife asks for some gift ideas lol.

I think it's just referencing that specific part in the movie; I don't really need the clock to work.

I’d buy it if the clock actually worked!

I think for me, personally, that'd be the only way to not feel like a supersized Hallmark ornament, you know?

I wouldn't be surprised if kits to convert a $10 Walmart clock didn't start flooding eBay after NECA releases their versions of the characters in these getups (and they'd be the same scale as this)

I was tempted to get this when it was first revealed, but $300 is a bit much especially with it not being a real working clock. Hopefully the Fett/Fennic statue is slightly less costly...like closer to $200

I mean it's a statue. They're all just ornaments in the end. The clock was not running when the photo was taken if you want to think of it as movie accurate. If this was any other scene I don't think anyone would expect working devices. I wouldn't buy this for the clock, I'd buy it for what it represents.

I agree with you 100%. Buuuut kinda seems like if they’d just stuck a clock mechanism in there they coulda sold 3-4 more units to peeps on this thread very easily!!

True, true, all true (except for the clock not running, watching it start up is what inspired the pic) but there's a certain ineffable quality of cheese to a Hallmark ornament that isn't inherent to statues in general

And also true that most people don't expect statues to be functional devices, but at the same time... this is a replica of a clock. This is a replica clock, that doesn't tell time. And my brain isn't letting me think of that as anything other than an oversight, no matter how little it'd bother most people :/

I don't think it would've killed them to include a working clock movement and maybe even some kind of unique recorded sound clips from the film. Even with such elements, the price would seem aggressive, but without them, it borders on offensive. Pass.
