Hey guys, has anyone checked this out?
This is a campaign for a line of 4" figures. Idea is go in for 6 months, or a year and get a figure each month from the company. Even could pledge for one month and randomly get a figure during the year. They want to recreate the feeling of sending off for a mailaway and being pleasantly surprised when it arrives. Toy Pizza are running this and they've had success in the last few years putting out their line "Knights of The Slice". Their toys are built using the Glyos system from Onell and they've had successful collaborations with Super 7 and 1000 toys. They're fun figures. This is a push to raise the funds in advance of the year ahead to have new tooling created. The first figure which has been unlocked is the Desert Rat. Its fully funded, it has modest goals and its moving to unlock some other cool figures. Have a look into it here. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...the-month-club Last edited by dsn1014; 10-29-2018 at 08:35 PM.. |

I can see the appeal on some level, though, $20 each seems too much for figures like that.

I am not feeling this. They compare this to sending off for exclusive figures and waiting for them to come, but with those figures you knew what you were getting and wanted it or you would not have sent in for it. With these they expect you to pay for whatever they feel like sending you. It just is not the same thing.
