Something that can always be said about the Super Powers line is that the sculpt of the human form, if idealized, was at least reasonably accurate and looked 'right.' Some lines seem intended to drive you up the wall with inflated musculature and other zany distortions. This seems like a nice tribute to the designers who stuck to basics.
Not sure why this one gets released as a statue, though. Why 8"? Why not re-release an articulated figure at a popular scale? Last edited by Skoob; 03-27-2015 at 03:20 PM.. |

i like these and have both of them pre-ordered but, i really wish they'd enlarge the heads on them a little. its a bit undersized in comparison to the body.

^Good eye...eight 'heads' tall is proportionate for illustrations of the human figure. This fig is a bit taller than eight heads, but it all comes out in the wash since humans generally represent a spectrum of proportionality...however, I was thinking along the very same lines. Additionally, biceps thicken at the shoulders (normally) not the elbows...it still represents a good looking Lantern.

lol....king of the nits and the picks here! It still looks good..and I agree with your assessment of the old super powers figs, they were favorites of mine growing up...
