IT - 8/10
Pretty slow start but when it really started rolling it was solid. I will say I appreciated that they didn't tiptoe around the child violence. That s**t got pretty brutal. Definitely plan on watching part 2. I just hope that the kid with the glasses isn't so annoying as an adult. That little f**er got on my damn nerves. When he started beating the piss out of Pennywise with the bat at the end made up for some of it but out of all the main kids he was easily the worst.

Under the skin 10/10 rewatched it and it’s still easily my favorite movie of all time! It’s the most intellectual and Thinking movie I’ve ever seen. The actress/Director Are god level. Why this wasn’t nominated for a Oscar I still don’t know. I highly recommend it

The Founder-8/10
Really good, not boring at all like I feared. Very intriguing to learn about the founding of McDonald's and fast food in general. Nick Offerman stands out as I'd never seen him in anything serious and he did great. Always nice to see John Carroll Lynch too. Boy, did Ray Kroc fuck over those McDonald brothers...

The Cloverfield Paradox—7.75/10
I really enjoyed this movie, more than even the original Cloverfield I think. A lot better than 10 Cloverfield Lane. I wish there were more connections to the first two movies though. I'm still not exactly sure how all these movies fit together.

Black Panther-8/10
Enjoyed this movie a lot, very good villain surprisingly. Didn't feel it really matched up with what we saw in Civil War though, and I wasn't a big fan of the suits being able to materialize and dematerialize from a necklace, it was too unrealistic for me. Also wasn't a big fan of how vibranium was more than just a metal in the movie, again changing things. Also didn't like how Black Panther got powers from drinking juice, reduces his badassery.

Black Panther - 9.5/10
Absolutely fantastic, up there with Wonder Woman, Thor Ragnarok and Winter Soldier as my favourite superhero films. Great cast, great range of characters all of whom were developed enough to be distinctive. Well paced, enough humour to stop it being too dark, a nuanced, sympathetic villain but still a villain.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight - 9/10
Loved it! Just wish it was longer because the ending felt a little abrupt. Other than that it was great. |

Iron Man 2—3/10
I used to like this movie, I don't know why. Aside from the Howard Stark parts, this movie is dogshit. I LOVE the first Iron Man so I don't know how they went so wrong here. I feel the need to reassess Iron Man 3 now...

Star Wars Last Jedi - 3/10
I finally got around to watching Star Wars Last Jedi. Oh my God, what a letdown. I've never felt so bad on a deep level about a movie. If you haven't seen it already, DON'T. Sitting through it is like self-flagellation, there are so many things that are in-your-face wrong. Save your money and preserve your cherished memories of the franchise back when it was great. Yeah, it was pretty bad, made worse by how much the sequel contrasted with the original. Last edited by Skoob; 02-20-2018 at 08:49 PM.. |

I also feel your pain on The Last Jedi, I've never been so not excited for the next Star Wars movie since seeing this movie. I just don't give a shit about the future installments now.

Timecrimes—9/10
I will say nothing about this movie, as I had nothing going in and that's how it should be for you too. It is an amazing movie. Just make sure you get it with subtitles if you can't understand Spanish.

Pleasantville—6/10
I really liked this movie at first, but then the theme and focused changed suddenly towards the end, and the movie has a bloated runtime of over 2 hours. This would be fine if was engaging, but it got really boring, and overstayed its welcome by 40 minutes. It's sad because this movie has a great concept and could have really been something.

A Simple Plan—8/10
Great movie, but really bleak. One of Sam Raimi's best films. It was also pre-Spider-man.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri-7/10
Well made technically, and the performances are great. But the story meanders...nothing really gets resolved, the main character doesn't change. If this gets best picture over Lady Bird or Get Out I'll be sniffy.

Iron Man 3—7.5/10
This movie has some pretty grave sins, and it's nowhere near as good the first film, but it's miles better than Iron Man 2, and a good time no alcohol required. More than anything, just wish the Mandarin had been real.

Iron Man 3. Where some of the villains are disabled US veterans turned terrorists. Kind of off putting, I thought. It was a decent movie, though.

The entire extremis storyline wasn't my favorite. But they at least put energy into the plot so it didn't feel lazy.

Annihilation - 5/10
Slow burn sci-fi "thriller"...if 4 scenes count as a thriller. Teeters on horror, but never goes full blown. I almost think it tried too hard or something. Kind of movie most people would be bored with 10 minutes in and turn off. |

Thor: The Dark World-3/10
Shitty, shitty movie with very few bright spots and incredibly boring. My favorite part of the movie was the mid-credits scene, which wasn't even directed by Alan Taylor but by James Gunn. This actually beats out Iron Man 2 as the worst MCU film of all time. They somehow made a villain worse than Whiplash.
