So a friend that is aware that I collect LEGOs sent me a link to the Toys R Us site showing that the Harry Potter LEGOs are all gone. I didn't think it was odd until I looked on the Wal-Mart site and they're sold out too. I think they must have discontinued them, but can anyone else confirm this?

Thank god. I was tired of seeing HP lego and Ninjago crap.

The Dino Legos look pretty cool.
Harry Potter, not so much.

I picked up a few of the Harry Potter sets for my girlfriend a while back and helped her build them, and I was pretty impressed by some of them. Hagrid's Hut is the best one, but I can see why dudes wouldn't care if they aren't around anymore. Let me put it this way, if you see one sitting on a store shelf, buy it and stash it for a while, that thing might pay for a pretty good chunk of your future toy collecting and you'll be hooking someone else up with something rare.

Well the Harry Potter stuff is still up on Lego's official web store, but I see there's no new stuff planned for 2012 except a book about all the previous sets. Given the movies are all over and done with, makes sense this is the end of the road for the series.

I went to a Harry Potter movie one time and woke up very refreshed afterwards.
