Finally saw the Coffin Car the other night at Meijer. They had it for $34.99. It would definitely make a good base for a Dragula, but I don't really have the funds for something like that when most of it is going towards all the new TF's coming in the next couple of months.

Oops, yeah. The bigger set, not the little one. Still haven't seen it at all.

Since I'm going completionist with Kre-O, my answer would be a resounding yes. Not to mention I'm a sucker for combiners, period.

Awake oh dormant thread, awake! I'm currently looking for the Monster Fighters set 9465, "Zombie Graveyard" as I like to call it. If you have one and are willing to part with it, shoot me a pm. I'm looking to add it to my display, showcased below. Help a bro out!

I have the Hearse. I'll dig it out and post a pick tomorrow. I also have that coffin car thing.

Although the Crazy Scientist set is cool in its own right, I find it doesn't fit in with my sense of the monster motif. Besides, I already have the F-stein mini figure. I have him roaming about in my Vampyre Castle. You just can't see him as, when I took those pics, he's "walking" down the stairs in the middle of the castle. If you look closely in the picture that focuses on the middle of my monster village, between the castle and the house, you'll notice the Werewolf perched on his tree. Well, underneath that is the Swamp Thing protecting his moonstone. I just combined the two sets as I thought they complemented one another nicely. Yeah, no zombie cars for me. I prefer Lord Vampyre's hearse which you see parked adjacent the Haunted House.

Lego is the only thing I liked as a kid but have no representation of in my collection now, and I'm quite tempted to pick up a few bits.
What do people collect? City, huge collector's pieces, vintage, City, licensed? I recently found my 10 year old self's wishlist so am quite tempted to get those pieces (it also had a design for a diarama)! I'm also tempted by some of the licensed stuff like the Star Wars and Super hero lines, although it seems to be hugely expensive, so I might just get the TMNT stuff.

Actually from what I found there is very little difference in price between unlicensed Lego sets like City and licensed sets like Star Wars. Or maybe it's just the stores around here.

I have a Star Wars Transformers and Miniatures collection (which work quite nicely in scale together), I have considered turning it into a Star Wars Lego collection, but the prices on pieces like the Millennium Falcon seem so high, maybe it's that they are just bigger sets though. A lot of the stores around here have Transformers Kre-O sets at half price or better so I think that and the Turtles stuff will be my starting point, ultimately I will try and incorporate them into my diorama!

I've bought other Lego sets that strike my fancy, like the alien kits from a couple years ago, assorted Skeleton warriors, and a garbage truck (not the current one), but most have gotten sold as time has passed. When I got rid of my Star Wars LEGO, which was about the first three years of kits, I made back twice what I paid, enough to buy a couch new -- and all the kits had been opened. |

I mean all license sets are expensive, in fact I seen the TMNT Line increase in prices at some stores. I think the Marvel/DC lines are great and the City ones too.

Grabbed the three new Iron Man 3 sets last night from Legoland in Shaumberg, IL. They're all pretty cool, but the largest one with Tony and Pepper is the best. I love how it comes with Dummy and two Hall of Armor spots for the Mk VI and MK VII minifigs. The included story booklets are a bit spoilery though, so if you're avoiding IM3 plot points you might want to skip over them.

I picked up my first Lego set in more than 20 years (not including Transformers Kreo) - the X-men set. Pretty cool, think I'm gonna pick up the Spider-man/Venom set as well.
I'm pretty determined not to get any other Marvel sets, but the thought did occur to me that if they did some big 'minifigs', they'd be pretty hard to ignore. Imagine, a super-sized Galactus lego fig!!!
