Toy Guru anounced today that if they get 100%, he will do more POP and NA figures. Isnt that the problem? That only a minority of collectors want them. I just bought my Sub, and then I read that crap.

I don't mind a few POP characters. What kinda homoerotic place do you guys want Eternia to be? I'd rather it not be a sausage fest. Like Tib said, more tits!

Ditto. The PoP figures are one of the main reasons I don't subscribe. I can barely afford to buy figures I WANT. There's no way I'm gonna be forced to pay $35 bucks a piece (with shipping) for second tier She-Ra figures.

I can agree with Saint Phe there....IMO...all I need is ONE She-Ra...in fact I only want One of each figure in the MOTU universe. But as long as its a different character all together I don't mind paying for the random C-D-E Listers

Apparently you don't know the difference between a doll and a female action figure. How many PoP figures have been released to date, 6? She-Ra, Bubble Power She-Ra, Star Sisters, & Bow, who is a male. That ratio isn't bad at all. Is was made clear from the beginning of this line that it was to be all inclusive. MOTU, PoP, NA, Filmation.. So why bitch now? Sorry, as a little BOY, I had a She-Ra, Teela, & Evil-Lyn among the rest of the MOTU universe. My sister had dolls, I had action figures.

You're correct on the ones I left out, Adora too.
However... Looks more like an action figure to me. An awful girly one, but an action figure none the less. |

*I prefer the new MOTUC POP figures to the old ones, I don't like my toys to have hair that I can brush LOL |

Aside from the gimmicks MOTU had, She-Ra and her limited articulation had about has much "action" capability as any other MOTU figure. Do I want a ton of PoP figures? No. But I don't mind what's been released so far. To me, they fit in just fine. I want the most expansive universe I can have. This excludes concept figures no matter how cool. I def don't want to see a fuckin Rockster or w/e that thing's name was. All I know for certain is this. MOTUC is by far the best line out there. If I have to get a Netossa, Catra, She-Re, Star Sisters to get my a Ram Man, Ratlor, Jistu, Mekaneck, etc... So be it.

Actually, one of the main problems of the subscription is the lack of Princess of Power and New Adventures figures. The line was intended to be all-encompassing, yet here we are with most of the MOTU A-listers already done, and a bunch of concept characters, but POP and NA are hardly even tapped into. Not only has that alienated the POP and NA fans thus far, but it will now alienate the vintage MOTU fans, since POP and NA are a big chunk of what remains to be made.
POP and NA are actually very fan-demanded. It was a wise move for Matty to focus on the A-listers from those factions alongside the remaining vintage MOTU in 2014. As a young boy, I was never opposed to female characters. I wanted Cheetara and Jinx as much as Lion-O and Cobra Commander, and Evil-Lyn was my favorite MOTU character. I'm still left wanting a proper G1-style Arcee. And I want the main POP girls as much as I want He-Man and the gang. I never understood, then or now, the mindset of "Yuck! I don't want that one 'cuz it's a GIRL!" |

I disagree, the first few years when the line was mainly MOTU sales were geeat, but as soon as they made the transition in 2012 to more POP and NA figures it went south. I really like my She-ra, Adora, and Shadow Weaver figures, but I have no interest in the Star Sisters, Frosta, or Bow.
My problem isnt with these figures being made, its with Mattel forcing me to buy them. POP and NA figures should either be optional or a separate sub like the 30th line, (which I would never have gotten if I had known what crappy figures they would be releasing). Then we would really see what the demand for these figures truly is. |

Sorry, but no. I want Glimmer, Angella, Seahawk, and Castaspella. Not to mention they need to do Mantenna already for the Horde.
I don't need any Filmation or New Adventures garbage though. And I don't need those rocklords and spinning wheel dudes either, because they are lousy crap too. Just give me the rest of the Horde, Snake-Men, She-Ra's friends, and anyone else that was featured in the 2002 cartoon that has yet to have a figure (Evilseed, Veena, Battle Lion, Two-Bad). |
