You've inspired me to do some more old-fashioned scratchbuilding, Astra... and to repaint my awful DST Alfred. Here's a before-and-after:
Welcome to the Batcave, Alfred. Quote:

He often likes and sometimes even comments on my pics. Here are the two recent ones: A Butler's work is never done: https://twitter.com/seanpertwee/stat...84055357685760 Genius: https://twitter.com/seanpertwee/stat...78265949900800 What scale is that Turtles playset actually? You make me still eye it with all your wonderful pictures but I hesitate as I think the original Turtles figures are smaller? How do Alfred and Batman work in the tunnels? Quote:
And as for my own figure, on close inspection it would not look as good. The face is printed very blurry, very difficult to get a good focussed picture. The surface is rough not smooth. The glasses also were way too thick, I made my own from thin wire. Plus making these figures is quite expensive, 150-200 Euros per figure depending on extras. PS: Looking at your blog I just realized that your Tekering name has been developed the same way like my Astra name Quote:
Yeah, Big Boss man will be Bad Gotham Cop in my pictures. I'd like to give him the right badges and colors but I don't know where to find good reference pics. Quote:
There was a rather touching photo making the rounds on Facebook a while back concerning that figure of Big Boss Man (the wrestler whose gimmick was that he was a policeman). He has been dead for some time, but his daughter posted a photo of her son in his carseat holding that toy, and the caption she added was, "When that's your grandpa but you don't know it yet."

If you can just walk into a shop in Dresden and get scanned, why doesn't DST have access to such technology? Your figure is the only one in that diorama that looks like a human being: The Gotham characters look like extras wearing rubber masks. |

Got Tien in today... literally just a Krillin purchase away at this point from having a completed Z fighters team. Feels good man.

Lol Monte. Your bravery in playing with little plastic men in public is commendable.
And please stop posting pics of that sweet Ultra Magnus. I’m trying to pay off my credit here! |
