ha..cool People are realllllly making me want those quantum suits now. I think i need to WAIT until I see the movie because many times that is the determining factor for what I want to actually own. eg. those Starforce figs from cap marvel ..initially I did want to do a little troop building, until i saw the film then I no longer liked them..lol

Honestly, had I not sold off my Legacy Titanus to pay for 2/3rds of him, I probably would have been a bit disappointed. He's great and all, I love the detail work and I love that they have a piece to connect Daizyujin to Brachion's shell piece so he doesn't tip over, but the arm and chest pieces do not like to stay attached. They fall off if you sneeze too loud. Plus, the gloves are extremely heavy, so it's hard to keep his arms up with them on. Nevertheless, I love having the entire trio together with completely matching looks as I really feel like they are the dino gods from Zyuranger.

Thanks for posting these! I know I could have google'd it and seen it, but getting feedback from someone who actually paid for it and isn't using photoshop to enhance anything like the typical promo shots are much more revealing and give a more accurate depiction of the item.
I loved assembling the Mini-pla models and happily picked up all three sets (I preordered them all except Titanus), but after messing with them for a bit and comparing the price to the detail and size, I feel like they are too expensive. I love the look of the SoC trio and man they look absolutely amazing together even if they have their issues. I think that part of the problem is the design. These clunky dino robots form a clunky giant robot, and if you split a dragon down the middle and open the back of a brachiosaurus you have a killer Ultra Mega Clunky robot! I will always love me some MMPR, but the designs and concepts from Japan don't make for the best toys. They do look great when displayed together, you just cant really get any action poses. |

To be fair, Zyuranger was the first series to drop the boxy looking mecha, so while the designs do have flaws by today's standards, this was quite a feat back in 1992.
It was also at a time where the toys were second nature to the shows. These days, the toys come first, and then if there is time, a plot and character development might be squeezed in. Nevertheless, I'm not surprised there are some minor issues with them combined, I just had hoped they would have been able to make it all work without them, especially since before Daizyujin had come out, many people on a specific message board were saying the SOC was the greatest invention ever and that the Sentai mecha would be the ultimate versions ever. Don't get me wrong, I doubt even Hasbro will be able to top them (and honestly, I'm done buying the Zyuranger mecha at this point as the SOCs are show accurate in design and detail), but considering the hype that board posed, I am a little disappointed.
