The thing I like about the SDCC figures though is the packaging, as a graphic designer and a kid who grew up in the 90s, the packaging is really exciting, especially when they give you bubble card and a printed full colour box. that is dope.

Does anybody know if the Marvel Unlimited works with a nook/kindle?
The wife has a nook she doesn't use, and I've been thinking about getting a kindle fire (and not have to worry about my wife noticing her missing e-reader). This could be a deciding factor for whichever I go with. |

Hah, why even bother giving this the SDCC reference when its not even being offered there? maybe you can buy the subscription and they'll mail it to you, but Symbiote said this year they decided not to give out the figures at the con.

So has anyone done this? It says $41.92 next to ORDER NOW, and when I click that it says $59.99.. so is that just the standard page and once you enter all your information it changes it to the 42? I'm ok with a subscription and figure at 42.. not 60.
Also, if I was previously a member but am currently not subscribed, would it count as new subscription? Or do I have to use my wife's name? :P

The price comes to $41.97 at checkout because they give you the coupon code DOOM616 to bring it down from $59.97. I ordered mine today.
I think that's what they are talking about when they're saying "valid only 'til the 15th" because I think that's when the coupon code will no longer work. It is entered automatically for you at checkout. Last edited by JamzMan; 07-12-2012 at 09:24 PM.. |

I got scammed!
At the Marvel booth, they told me multiple times that they weren't doing the digital subscription at the booth this time, and they had no figures on hand. So like a fool, I thought, well, I'll just buy the sub Sunday night when I have internet again. Now it's 10 pm PST and the website says it's over! WTF!?!?!?! There's not even an end date or time on the email I got! What a bunch of assholes. |

I can't believe they did the figure for such a short time. Wasn't Archangel up for months?

Years, actually. It is still featured on Current Comic Packs!
I asked specifically about the Subscription figures, and Dwight said that they pick a figure and produce a batch of them for Marvel's Digital Subscription department. Once Marvel has them, Hasbro has no say over where and when they're available. So the fact that Doom was only ever offered last October at NYCC and this past weekend for 4 days is purely at Marvel's discretion. (Even though there are stickers on the newest comic packs referencing the Archangel mail-away). |

So if Old man Logan is the digital sub this year how will this work?!? I assume he will first be available at NYCC but after that will us regular folk have to wait a year to get him seeing how many of us probably just did the year long sub with Doom?!?!?
