You stopped collecting Star Wars figures because you couldn't find phantom menace toys? That's a bummer.

Todays haul. I desperately wanted a G1 Astrotrain when I was little, never saw it in stores. When I was older the only Astrotrain figures seemed to be terrible so I never got one. Very, very happy to get Titans Return Astrotrain as a result.

This is really the first and only good Astrotrain toy which is kind of sad since he was one of the original triple-formers and a regular Decepticon enforcer on the show. He was also the Decepticon's go to getaway guy since everybody else could just climb in him and he'd blast off. I'm really glad to see him finally get a decent toy since like you said his only other offering have been lackluster and while fine in its day his G1 toy wasn't really good either. I'm positive that they're also doing a new Blitzwing since the upcoming voyager Megatron is clearly on a body meant for Blitzwing (like how this Astrotrain's body was first used for Sentinel Prime).

Yep, the classics (?) Astrotrain came out a couple of years before I started collecting Transformers again and it seemed pretty bad. I nearly bought one anyway but decided not to. Very glad I did now as I'm really happy with this one.
Blitzwing would be great, he's another on my list of most wanted TFs. Really now all I need is to get Masterpiece Hot Rod and hopefully one day a Masterpiece Arcee and I'll have all my G1 favourites.

Today's Amazon & TRU haul. Finished up my Dr Strange wave on the cheap and snagged the two newest Naruto Figuarts.

I had a pretty satisfying day of hunting
After seeing Rogue One, the U-Wing quickly became one of my favorite Star Wars ships, so I've been eager to pick this up. The adult in me is curious how badly the Nerf missile launcher will affect the overall look of this ship, but the Nerf-loving kid in me is still ecstatic that the new Star Wars ships fire Nerf projectiles I've wanted this updated War Machine ever since I saw Civil War, but I didn't want to pay $40 for the set, since I had no interest in the insane Iron Man armor included in it, but today, I found it on clearance for $12 ! Also, while I already have this C-3PO, a Walgreens near me had him on clearance for $5, so I figured I could always use a second Threepio.

How could you not know how huge Transformers is? It was a phenomenon in the '80s that endures to this day, Toyark has a sister site, TFW2005, completely dedicated to Transformers. I think it not only contributed to making Hasbro the modern powerhouse that it is but for many it or Star Wars was probably what got them into collecting toys at all (I'll throw in GI Joe too).

I joined that site about 2 weeks ago. I just never knew it was so popular. I was into DBZ and some other stuff, but nothing I've been into is as big as TF, Other than comic books. |

I think DBZ did very well in establishing itself and the overall package remains the most popular anime but yeah for whatever reasons (robots?) Transformers took off and has managed to even revitalize itself over time. As much as hardcore fans might hate them it's hard to deny that Michael Bay's movies made the franchise relevant again.

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! I'm goin to kill ya LOL. I got Target to price match Walmart.Com with the Absorbing man wave. I don't care for his Non Absorb face ( The one that looks like sloth from the Goonies.) The Venom is nearly Perfect.

Filled some holes in the ole collection this week
I never even looked at these 12" figures when they came out, but this week being able to score all 3 Brand new for under $50 total I was all over them. This one arrived first from amazon waiting on Spidey and Cap to ship from Gamestop. My thoughts are that Iron Man is really an awesome figure. He can get in more dynamic poses than the 6" ones thanks to better placed articulation, this is the one I was least excited about and he is actually really fun |
