Ripley/Newt 2pack came in today ....I already have Newt, but had never bothered with Ripley as I figured there would never be enough Col.Marines released to provide escort duty on the shelf... Now that it looks like we'll be seeing more (pending licensing rights vs sales profit, etc.etc. etc. as NECA always points out when asked to make so-and-so character) I was happy to see her re-released and looking better than ever! -personally I do like the slightly open mouth- it reminds me best of all the scenes where she can't believe the crap she is being told/seeing (Company excuses, Col.Marine bravado, Burke's betrayal, the egg opening in the Queen's chamber, Bishop not being at the landing platform....) |

The two aliens and batgirl are from my girl, late christmas gifts. The iron fist was a replacement for the one a bought a few weeks ago with bad paint.

Final pickup of 2016. These guys are just fandamntastic. Both look really great and are constructed well. Gorilla's interchanging dome feature works well and is easy to do but he's a bit top heavy with those gorilla arms and head while his legs are just regular alien warrior legs. Mantis has a ton of articulation but it can be tricky to get him to stand when he's built like a mantis with all that ability to move. Figures like these are why I throw my money at NECA. Overall awesome way for NECA to start their Aliens Kenner homage series (discounting the AVP 2 pack and Ripley since both were exclusive repaints).

Either it's the angle or The Gorilla Alien is too skinny. He's supposed to be a lot bulkier.

My end of the year/holiday haul.
Gamestop's buy one get one free on marvel legends (clearance figures) convinced me to build Juggernaut. Danvers and Taskmaster are just awesome so I finally picked them up. Gamora I won on ebay with lowest bid (sweet figure albeit sucky articulation). Neca Ripley/Newt and Vasquez to add to my growing Alien/Predator collection. RIP Carrie Fisher, and finally stumbled on Old Ben (switched out his robe for the rickhor409 one). |

It's hard to say what he's technically supposed to be since they've taken liberties with making sense of Kenner's predators but I do have the torso twisted in that pose so he does look thinner in that image than he is. His lower body is just the regular warrior alien so it does feel scrawny compared to how big his arms and upper torso are. He definitely does feel like a gorilla next to a human when compared to a regular alien.

This just arrived, my first and probably last Hot Toys, at least for the foreseeable future. I would like to get Rey and BB-8 and Darth Vader though... R.I.P. Carrie Fisher.

I told myself a couple 1/6 figures would be cool, 40 figures later and I'm thrilled I started collecting 1/6 figures. |

I had these pre-ordered with BBTS since they were first solicited and personally have yet to see them in store (though I haven't been checking). I really love these two and am really excited about the potential the other Kenner designs have. I fully expect to see cougar/night-panther since that would be an easy reuse of the dog alien but ones I'm more interested in are Bull, Wild Boar, Killer Crab (just to see how they'd do it), and whether or not they'll do a massive flying queen.

Looks like my collecting days aren't over after all! PHEW. Got the Black Series Rebels characters for Christmas, managed to snag the Outrider for $10, and the diecast Ghost for $2. But, more importantly...
I GOT REVAN. My favorite Star Wars character. Panicked when local stores seemed flooded by Scarif troopers and nothing else, and Ebay prices were instantly ridiculous, but a comic shop 45 minutes away had 'im for $40. That was the EXACT budget I allowed myself to put toward a Revan, so it all worked out. |

I picked up mantis today at toys r us, they had plenty of the mantis, gorilla, facehugger, the newt two pack, and the green alien. I'll probably grab the gorilla next week. |

Nice, good for you! I knew he'd be hard to acquire (for now anyway, hopefully later he's easy for everyone that still wants him) so when I first heard that pre-orders went live I watched BBTS like I assume hawks watch smaller animals below and was able to snag him and Sabine at once. This wave overall has been one of my favorites from the black series in awhile and as I've said before I hope it opens the door for more great KOTOR characters like Bastila and Darth Malak. There are plenty of other "legends" characters I'd get but KOTOR remains my absolute favorite non-movie SW thing.
It's awesome to see that Legends characters are still on the table. Bastila and Malak are both high on my wishlist now, along with a 6" Dash Rendar, HK-47, and Starkiller. The Republic Commando Delta squad too. Clearly I have an appreciation for the video games, haha! Although, it's shocking that they still haven't done a RotJ Boba Fett. Unless I missed it somewhere. |

Thanks! See, I had no idea Hasbro was even making Revan because I had stopped following news on most of the toylines I used to collect. I only found out a couple weeks ago, and of course it was too late to pre-order. But yes, hopefully he becomes more widely available for everyone else.

Technically Delta squad is still canon because they had a minor cameo in the clone wars cartoon so their exploits aren't the same anymore but they still exist. They have yet to do a RotJ Boba Fett and I'm still confident/hopeful they will one day. I think a two pack of him and Tatooine Jedi Luke would be neat. The first Boba they did is great (I much prefer his classic ESB look over RotJ) but that thing was damn hard to find and it looks like they don't plan to redistribute it. Sadly true but maybe the showing of more legends characters in the previous fan poll could lead Hasbro to look at more. Like I said I really just want more KOTOR.
