Well yah... But its mostly just figures i enjoy on the dc side. Though if i'm being honest both dc AND marvel comics (though dcs movies too haha) belong in the porcelin throne.

I just pick up costumes and figs i think are cool. I quit reading comics decades ago... When universe spanning, retconning crossovers ( i blame aoa for starting that sickening trend haha ) happened every other year and books no longer held self contained stories. And the price of books are nuckin' futs!

6000th post!!!!!! I officially never shut up!
This is actually my birthday haul, as I have done for years now I just hoard up everything over the month and wait to open it until my birthday today. The only three I'll bother going into any detail with here are Seaspray, Jules, and Marcus Fenix. Seaspray is pretty great, he's all around solid and feels like a definitive version of the little guy. It's great that you can plug his weapon onto his torso to give him a gut. Jules is overall great too but it definitely isn't flawless. The main detractor for the figure is Diamond's decision to sculpt his eyes the way they did, it makes finding one with good paint on the right eye a challenge since he's meant to have this intense glare but it can easily come off as a derpy eye if the paint isn't right. Beyond that the articulation is standard and the sculpt is nice, it's obviously Samuel L Jackson. A personal huge plus in my book is the inclusion of the Big Kahuna burgers and the Sprite, I love when toys come with food that I can pass around to other toys. I have to give McFarlane props for actually listening to criticism against their earlier color tops figures and stepping up articulation a bit. Marcus still doesn't quite come close to what I would call industry standards of articulation but he has enough to meaningfully alter his pose or at least the pose of his upper body. My main gripe with this figure is that his left hand is so stiff that I can't get him to properly hold his lancer with both hands, if the fingers were more flexible I imagine I could make it work but as it is out of the box I can't get his fingers through the slot between the grip and the chainsaw. It looks good otherwise with the level of sculpt and paint that I'd expect from McFarlane, as a Gears fan I'm happy with it.

Stopped at TRU and decided to help clear some shelf space by buying some figures that I don't even collect. Maybe they'll get some new stuff in now.

Some recent pick ups.
One more to go for the Netflix wave. Found Hela, the sons and decided to finish off the Dr Strange wave.

Found a bunch of the ghost Obi-Wan at a Walgreens and picked one up because it looks a lot nicer in person than the initial promo pics did. It's a fun repaint/recast and my only non-positive note is that I would have liked him to still have included his lightsaber. I know it wouldn't make sense for him to have it since he didn't in the movies once he was a ghost but the toy feels odd for not having anything (definitely not as bad as TLJ Luke though). It's definitely not a necessary pick up if you already have the regular Obi-Wan but if you don't have that one or just really enjoy the aesthetic of this one like I do then it's a worthy addition to the collection. The box also feels particularly unique and exclusive compared to every other exclusive release in this line (excluding conventions) because they replaced all of the red with a nice metallic blue that really makes it pop.

I didn't really pay Ben much attention until I got the 40th one in hand but yeah the line has had an observable leap forward with some of the different faces. Ben and Lando are two standouts for me, helmet characters and aliens are almost always reliable so good human faces are a more notable change.
