Frohe Weihnachten! The only figure I'll go into on this thread is Handsome Jack. As a game I thought Borderlands 2 was a huge improvement over the first and having a villain like Handsome Jack was a significant reason, he's such a total dick but I've always found him quite entertaining. As a figure this continues McFarlane's trek in the right direction lately. It's not as articulated as it could be but it's better than nothing and while (as expected) the paint lacks a lot of those perfect details that promotional images featured it still does a great job capturing the game's aesthetic style. My only actual negative is a fairly nitpicky one but he totally doesn't have his pocket watch, none of the promotional images to my knowledge featured it but it is still weirdly missing anyway. I've seen a render that has Jack without the pocket watch but in the actual game he always has it.

They've been around for a couple of years. Toyark's got quite a few catalogued:

^ My condolences on the Covenant bluray. As much as I dislike Last Jedi... it is nowhere near as bad as what Covenant tried to do with the Aliens franchise IMO... I really like Prometheus too.
Never noticed this before, but Revoltech Wolvie's claws look huge... how do they not stick out the back of his elbows when he retracts them. |

Ahhh! I want that Art of Overwatch book... I was skimming it at Costco, but I think I will hold out for an updated version next year with the new characters too (even though I mostly only care about Anna and Mei).

I have doubts that we'll ever see an updated version since unless we get a new character per month in 2018 then the only characters missing in this version are Doomfist and Moira. Maybe in a year or so they might do a smaller Art of Overwatch Vol.2 to add on what this couldn't cover but an update on an already large and comprehensive book like this seems like one of those concepts that takes more effort than its worth unless they wait so long to do it that there's actual additions of substance beyond 2 or 3 heroes and some new maps.

Yeah, throw me in teh camp that hated Alien Convenant. In fact, it is hands down the worst movie of 2017. As bad as other movies were, I didn't hate them as much as I hated that piece of cyberpunk shit.
Anyway, late X-Mas Gift:

I don't mind the book not having Doomfist, but I am really interested in Moira's character. And I think Overwatch gets 3 new heroes every year, so maybe next Christmas their will be a new book... or vol 2. as you say. |

I actually thought they skipped Orisa too in this one; must have missed her when I was flipping through it. But yah, I don't know how Blizzard does their books... like those Star Wars and Marvel encyclopedia books they have at Costco every year at Christmas time seems to get updated annually to include characters from the latest movies.

While normally i pass on such books, i must confess it makes for a great concise collection of the Marvel Universe rivalling the old school TSR roleplaying books but with broader strokes. The individual character files are not as detailed as the previous DK Marvel Encyclopedia, but it is updated with some of the latest storylines. The bigger BONUS here, however, is the added content. First off, the characters/teams are not listed alphabetically but by actual creation order. They've added signature vehicles, weapons, technology, and locations like planets and buildings. |

Bought this at the Fry's Electronics in Garland, TX! The shelf tag said $150, but it rang up for $108 (which is good cuz I was going to price match Amazon anyways). I used up the rest of my Christmas money to pay for half and paid the rest of it with my own money, so it cost me like $55 out of pocket!! hehehe

Seeing that makes me want to play War for Cybertron again. Man I wish they made more of those games. They're sooooo much fun.

Bought the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy today. Brings back a lot of memories. Like, when I actually played video games more than once every 3 years or so.
