My local comic shop had Dawn of the Planet Apes series 2 Caesar, just Caesar though. The way his jaw is attached is unappealing to me, it breaks the look. Series 1 Caesar looks a lot better if you don't mind his war paint.
They also had DCC animated Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Thought about getting Two-Face but I'm just not sure if I really want it.

Finally ran into the Elite WCW Throwback Rey Mysterio for all you wrestling fans. Was super tempted to get this one, but without an Elite throwback "Lionheart" Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, or Ultimo Dragon for him to do battle with, I didn't see a point. If those figures eventually do end up coming out at some point in the future, I know I'm gonna regret passing on this one for sure.
I also ran into the new Superhero Mashers style Ninja Turtle line today. Aside from new ball joints on the shoulder and hip sockets to remove the limbs, these don't offer any other new points of articulation over the figures already available, so therefore, drew little interest from me. I would have grabbed TigerClaw and Shredder for sure if they at least would have added elbow and knee articulation. I also ran into the re-issues of the movie figures in their newer packaging. I'm glad that Playmates decided to do this, so people who may have passed on them in the beginning can pick them up. While I'm not really sure if there is a difference in the figures themselves, I did notice that the ones in the newer packaging tend to have MUCH cleaner paint apps than the original figures. |

what's the price point on the Mutation turtles? and are they the exact same molds? the Tiger claw looks exactly like the one that just came out.

For the most part, they are the exact same mold. Tiger Claw had no new paint apps, came with his two pistols, and had no additional articulation. Shredder was slightly different in terms of mold (his head was a bit bigger) but had almost the same arms as 2.0 Shredder and no additional articulation as well. From all I could see...these were done kind of on the lazy side...the only difference was that these figures use ball joints to allow easy removal of the limbs. They don't swivel out like SH Mashers do... |

Even though I do collect the standard TMNT figures, I am skipping the mutations. Just not personally something I am into.
I saw a bunch of things I wanted to get at a local comic shop yesterday. NECA Robocop and Freddy video game figs, The 3 Book of Life Legacy figs, Mr Freeze, and some Twilight Zone merch. But it is Xmas time and I was shopping for other people :P |

The mutations were 9.99 at my toys r us. I was tempted to get them but since they are all the same figures and I already am out of space I managed to pass on them. Also the comic turtles with comic book were on sale for 9.99 and the diamond banks were 15.00

Yesterday my Target had all the new deluxe Combiner Wars Transformers, I extremely dislike them at a glance. They're simplified to accommodate their combining gimmick, so while the final combination could be redeeming they look pretty cheap as individual toys. Same reason I passed on all the FoC combiner toys, I had no intention to buy them all.

Saw that giant Stars Wars Millennium Falcon at Walmart today. On clearance for $30. Never really had interest in it myself, but if anyone was wanting it and waiting for a better price, might want to check your local Wally...

I was trying to think of some way to use it for decoration, but I got no real ideas except maybe use it for a garden outside or something. I told a friend he should get a few of those big cheep X-wings that are on clearance all over and mount them on the roof of his house.

That would be something, seeing them all over the roof! lol Or maybe even a big scene in the garage...I could see something cool like that, not sure the wife would go for it though :P
Looking around yesterday at a couple of stores I noticed Imaginext having Spongebob movie figures. They are pretty cool. I was hoping for some cool action figures from that movie, but not sure there is anything else due out besides those... |

Ran into a bunch of things at a local K-Mart this morning including...
Some of the new Age of Ultron 2.5" stuff... A new DC Total Heroes box set...this one had a Batman with an almost "Arkham City" styled set of armor, and a Riddler figure... Also ran into the WWE Defining Moments Hulk Hogan figure for the first time, which looked terrific, but for some reason, was priced at $29.99, nearly ten dollars more than what these figures used to be. Considering what Hogan's wife took him for when they got divorced, I guess he needs the money... Lastly, after my K-Mart stop...I dropped by my local TRU. Nothing of real interest, however, I did see the new "retro themed" TMNT party wagon, which looked impressive. For some reason, I still prefer the movie wagon more, but this one is MUCH better looking than the old Shellraiser if you prefer your Turtles to stick with the cartoon look... |

Well that Hogan is about 30$ online, so I am guessing the prices went up. Most of the Defining Moments figures have went to around 30$ online. I kinda want the Hogan to go with the Andre I bought a few months ago. There is a regular 20$ Hogan figure coming that is the exact same figure, but it looses the Belt, Shirt, and Headband. Time for Wrestlemania III flashback fight :-)

I passed on Hogan because I never really was a big fan (Randy Savage, and Ted Dibiase were my favorites during my early years, I always loved the heels...) but if you are a Hogan fan, THIS IS the figure you've been waiting for. The accessories and likeness are spot on, and considering he comes with the egg shaped heavyweight title (from Wrestlemania 3), he is just about perfect. Even the hairline is right, as Hogan wasn't completely bald up top yet. About the only flaw I could find, was that the old WWF logo wasn't on the belt, and it's ridiculous to think that the WWE still doesn't have any rights to display it in any media format. It's a nitpick sure, but I really despise the new WWE logo, and seeing it on the classic title is a sham. |
