Wow. Ok. Big trouble...awesome. Lord of the rings....sold. Are these just one off types ore are we expecting a deep roster of each property. I would love a small scale lord of the rings line.

Maybe they should pick just 2 or 3 really popular licenses and focus on those instead of trying to be THIS diverse. I'm not buying any figure that may be a "one and done" license without any confidence in them doing anymore characters from that same movie later on. I'd be all over a FULL line from Big Trouble in Little China, but I'll be passing on the single Lightning figure they are doing since I expect he's the only one they ever make. Funko did this same thing with some of their early Reaction figures trying to stretch the diversity too far and ending up only doing a single figure for an entire film that would likely sell really well if a full cast of characters were produced instead.
And if they are only going to do a single Big Trouble figure, why Lightning?? At least start off with Jack Burton! He's an iconic character and probably worth getting even without getting any secondary figures from the film later on. It would be like starting off a new Star Wars line and the first and only figure produced so far is some random Imperial officer seen on the Death Star instead of Luke, Han, Vader, etc. Last edited by ShabbyBlue; 08-21-2020 at 11:25 AM.. |

I'm not sure how they're going to be treating these. The Loyal Subjects isn't all that active on their social media accounts, and they tend to just release things without doing much advertising of it. I'll be keeping an eye on Diamonds solicitations and such to try and keep up with these.

Agree with the earlier sentiment. I want to see some of these lines completed and the sculpts look good enough. LOTR is definitely in need for good articulated figures in this 1/12 to 1/18 scale. Big Trouble definitely interested. Naruto, well definitely need to see the committment to complete core subgroups/teams since Bandai SHF basically quit it.
Think most telling is what sort of accessories will be provided. Some of them would definitely need effects. |

He doesn't look bad for a 5" figure. I didn't realize they were movie based at first I guess.

I've never been interested in buying LOTR figs but the look and size of this guy interests me. It's very toy like.
I hate all plastic dresses and capes now tho. Taste change I guess. Cloth works better with the articulation. Anyway, I might get this if the articulation is well done. I love the movies and books. |

Not too bad considering scale, figuring price isn't too bad. Not sure if I should wait even longer for some other company to be able to provide a better version close to 1/12 scale.

I feel like DST is gonna make a way better version of Gandalf for roughly within $10 of this price point.

I'm sure it's Covid, but I'm really really surprised we haven't seen anything else from DS's LotR line after Gimli and Legalos. It's gonna be 2 years to build Sauron at this point.

That company that made the 3.75" Hobbit movie toys... they need to come back. Those Hobbit toys were awesome quality IMO.

To be fair, they took an awfully long time to release the Castlevania line. Maybe it's their pre-pandemic MO.

Over on Instagram, Loyal Subjects suggested this was a Walmart exclusive. Anyone know for sure?

I'll have to get the BTiLC Lightening figure, since there's practically nothing for that. Line looks good overall, depends on price though?

The articulation looks decent but the sculpts are pretty sad. For the licenses I'm interested in there have been better versions of figures released and I already have them so pretty easy pass.

Definitely different companies. The Bill and Ted figures (and Highlander, Heavy Metal, and Creepshow) figures are by Incendium.

I was about to make that very comment. Though it's a soft detailed face sculpt it helps even more to make him look youthful. And that expression. I could imagine Captain America saying something like "stay in school" and this little punk being like "Eat it old man!" before kicking him in the shin.
