Sorry if I can't properly describe this, not a fan of Chucky, but I saw these pictures go up alongside Black Manta and I know there are quite a lot of Horror-fans around here so I wanted to share
Seems like this one includes three different heads, some sort of ceremonial looking dagger, a knife, an alternate arm with a blade inside, a hammer, a ruler and a baseball bat. Plus some alternate hands. Release is June 2020. Official info’s and pre-orders should be coming very soon, price seems to hover around 9800¥. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/402573 |

Pre-orders are starting to pop up at Japanese shops; it has been added to the official page as well:

This looks great, it appears the eyes are movable too checking out those photos. I just bought the NECA Ultimate a little while ago when BBTS had a sale or else I'd get this.
At 5" tall anyway, what scale would this work with? I like the NECA since it's almost a 1/6 scale more or less. Is a 5" Chucky almost 1/4 scale or something? |

The original Chucky doll prop was 30 inches tall but the height varied a lot onscreen so toy makers can fudge the scale a bit and still be okay. Still, this mafex is too tall for any scale other than maybe 1/4. The neca one was already pushing it at 4in.

hmmm yeah, 5 inches...the snarl expression is good, same with the "normal", but it would be great to have a horror head like the Neca. That whole set is awesome...
I'll still get this, but damn, it should have been a 4 incher. |

Sold. It's expensive, but Mafex wins out over NECA for me. (Well, and this looks totally AWESOME.)

I only really like the Good Guy head sculpt. The rest seem off, like he’s smelling something he don’t like
At almost 5x the price of NECA, with less heads an accessories, and way too tall, this is a pass for me. Mafex needs to doll it back on prices lately. The $90-130 price tag is just crazy! |

Just seems to be the going rate for Mafex. If he has some rolling eye articulation that could add cost, and yeah the soft goods. Plastic quality wasn’t very good on a couple of my Dark Knight Trilogy figures, so I’m not a fan of this price at all. I expect better quality for that.
