Whoa whoa whoa....what is this Joker I'm seeing with my eyeballs?!?! That is very interesting. I'm hoping there is another head sculpt with it. Definitely buying either way. Captivating.
Spidey looks cool too, gotta say. I'm only buying the comic style Mafex. But looks cool. Oh and Space Odyssey..please more random licenses like that please Mafex. Last edited by JerpJerp; 02-08-2020 at 09:13 PM.. |

Black and grey Hush Batman is standing behind the DKR Joker. There are pics of him...elsewhere on the internet.

It's great that they're branching out with this, Joker looks cool!
Superman and Armored Batman are probably guaranteed to happen at this point, I personally hope to see Robin. |

Magneto sure has some luxurious locks.
I'm excited for the Joker. They're going in good for DKR. I'm sure there'll be an extra head with the batarang in it. I hope they put out a Robin figure and I guess Mutant Leader and then I'd be good! |

Yeah, I'm 150% getting two of that black HUSH Batman: one for display at home, one for messing around with in the office.
I don't know how the comic shading Spider-Man worked: Did he come with less accessories than the original one? My fear is Black-Batman will omit the grapnel gun, or worse, the unmasked Bruce Wayne head. If he does come with all of the accessories in-tact, I may cancel my preorder of the blue Batman. |

Mafex officially win the import wars where MCU figures are concerned. I’ve been falling out of love with SHF for while and this is like the final nail in the coffin. If only Mafex had priority and would expand upon their lines a bit more. Anyone expect they’ll throw out a Thanos to go with the Endgame trinity? What I really want is a Winter Soldier Bucky from them.
Also, have they lost the Star Wars license or just not bothered to do anything with it? |

I'm not going to get it but I really like that they gave Magneto his long hair. As a man with really long hair I appreciate this look for the character even if it's not what I consider his default look.

At the rate Mafex is popping out new fig orders right now, I'll think we'll see it sooner than later. Hopefully, they slow just a tad to bake that QC, just saying. Seeing this "weird" Joker is actually making me think we'll see A LOT of Jokers from MAFEXy. damn its hard to find a full shot of hush joker... |

Me toooo, this Joker is interesting but the HUSH version would be appealing to a wider audience.
At the rate Mafex is popping out new fig orders right now, I'll think we'll see it sooner than later. Hopefully, they slow just a tad to bake that QC, just saying. Seeing this "weird" Joker is actually making me think we'll see A LOT of Jokers from MAFEXy. First, Japan tends to love Jim Lee's Batman designs, especially HUSH. The recent animated film has further revitalized that interest, despite not being the best adaptation or animated film DC has put out. Medicom has 2 Batmans, Superman, and Catwoman coming in the Mafex line. This is going to keep going. Second, if you look back at the RAH line of figures, you can get a decent idea of what other figures they have planned. Out of the 6 from that line, 4 have been converted to Mafex releases. Joker and Harley are left with the possibility of Hush being slightly higher to extend the line in Mafex due to lower price point for consumers and possible lower overhead (this is speculation). Now The Dark Knight Returns has been evergreen for decades globally and figures are still being produced, but there are notable gaps in any scale for specific characters. Mattel hasn't produced a premium-quality line for it, Mezco only released 2 characters before getting sidetracked, and now Medicom is revisiting a property they made an average "1/6 scale" figure of years ago (it's probably close to 1/8). The Batman figures look great and I hope the paint on both turn out solid, but the Joker is a bit of a unicorn. There hasn't been a decent figure or this design produced since it first appeared, let alone something like this. Both lines are shaping up terrifically, but the TDKR line is already addressing a BIG hole in the collector's market and helping address problems customer may have with the Mezco line (fabric costume, un-wired cape, rarity/secondhand price) |

The Mattel TDKR Joker was actually pretty solid, it even came with the batarang-in-the-eye head. For a $20 toy from Mattel at a time when most of their figures were still duds it was almost impressive.

If MAFEX could make a Batman Beyond down the line that would definitely be a buy for me. I'm definitely going to have a pick a few of these new ones up

That did slip my mind. The portraits for that release are damn good, but the articulation is essentially the same as Joker from the BTAS line from DCC. Looks great, but it's very dynamic, hence my "unicorn" comment for the Mafex that appears to both well, even at the premium price.
