I think if anything as far as staff goes there should be more news staff,I mean yeah people can still report news without a badge but its nice to have as a reminder of all the work you do,I think Black Magnus should be considered for all the news he posts.

I really don't know what to say fellas...I'm extremely grateful to have the made the friends that I did here and made the impression I did in a very short tenure on the Ark. Just doing what I love, happy others can benefit from it. I really appreciate it guys.

Magnus, now that you've been appointed a staff member I think it's your duty to get the 1/4 scale Predator and show the community here a nice pictorial review.

Ok here's another one: Actually acknowledge topics/questions/grievences brought up in staff started, site threads.

OK, lemme try to address things:
Banner - first, you could remove that at any time by clicking the X in the box, it was set to show once until dismissed by the user. But yes, it's being removed completely now. New Posts - You can use this link to sort out BST/eBay threads: http://www.toyark.com/search.php?do=...de=63,64,65,66 And you can add the forum ids to any other forums you don't want to see to the end of that url. I will look into a solution to make that easier to set. Until then, copy/paste/save that. Stats thing - not coming back any time soon. It was a very heavy resource on the server, but had a purpose and a trade off was made. It's main purpose was a method for calculating stats to give out prizes. The prizes are not continuing, so there is now not enough benefit from it to warrant the extra server overhead from using it. Staff - we will revisit looking for staff after the new year. If you are interested, PM me, and I will put it in the "resume folder". When it's time to fill a position, we bust them out. Hope that helps address some things. |

Any chance we get more columns in the home page to organize threads better like TFW? It would be nice to have those features here as well like the junkion exchange and radicons columns.

I'd suggest implementing something so users can't quote more than two images per post. It's annoying when someone quotes a post of six straight photos; especially when the original post is on the same page. A lot of times I'm checking this site on my iPhone, and waiting for the same huge photo post to load three times on the same page can get pretty annoying.

How about we allow a bigger Sig image size and not delete users sig set ups. I had mine set up to also be a link to my BST thread now I can't remember how I had it and it was deleted by Staff. 500 by 200 is too small al least raise the 200 size most pics are at least 250. The only pics that work and look good are long and skinny. Thanks for screwing up my sig & deleting my set up.

Come on! I re sized it to the point where you can't even make out some of the pic and now you say it's over 40KB I don't see an option to change it. None of my other pics have exceeded the 40KB limit I don't see why this pic has when its only 333 X 195. I think you should spend more time monitoring the boards and cracking down on some of the smart ass members who only try to start shit with every post with there childish banter and name calling. My tiny sig was not hurting anyone. I just wanted to share my MU shelf with other members.

Can we have a LEGO (building sets) section added to the site as a possible forum section? I'd like to see what kind of creativity that would generate, and it might bring more members to the Toyark community.

We're not looking to add any sections at this time. But a Lego/Building Sets section is something we will keep in mind for the next round of updates. For now, why not use the Lego Discussion Thread in the One Line Per Thread Forum? It's not really getting any traffic, so the more people posting there, the better a chance a section would have.

For the next round of updates, I would suggest a separate forum dedicated to all the questions threads and answers threads for the various companies that scheduled Q&As?
It would make it a lot easier to keep up with them, and to even *find* them, since they're all scattered to the seven winds.

I was thinking, maybe to encourage more participation, as well as people putting more thought into threads they start, that maybe you could start choosing a "Discussion of the Week" to post on the mainpage like, every sunday.
You'd tell a little about it, who posted it, and maybe a little about some of the discussion highlights. The idea is both, like I said, to encourage people trying to put up more substance, as well as to make the community feel like they're a little bit more apart of Toyark itself.

Ever since Toy Fare folded up, I turn to this site to keep me informed. Saying that, one of the features I enjoyed the most about Toy Fare was their Top 10 figures of the month, showing which figure was the hottest "gotta get" figure that everyone was scrambling for. Any way Toyark could do a feature similar to that?
