Inspired by the Wayne vs Stark thread.
You know, as awesome as the Amalgam universe was (And as much as I'd like to see a return to it), I think it would be killer to see a year long story arc (That's not canon to the main universes) where DC and Marvel merge. Not that the characters merge like Amalgam, but the universe themselves merge, where all the characters and concepts coexist. Each company would publish 3 to 5 12 issue series that explores the different aspects of how all these characters would get along. Would Oscorp and Lexcorp go to war? Would Captain America be inducted into the Blue Lantern Corps? Would the JLA and Avengers ultimately merge into one organization? Would the Spector and Ghost Rider but heads? Would anyone else find this as fun as I might? Like I said, these would not effect the main MU and DCU. And the starting point would probably be some generic place that's easy enough for non readers of the other to understand.

I'd love to read that. Lots of very interesting concepts to explore.

I'm a total sucker for Marvel/DC crossovers! The JLA/Avengers crossover is one of my favorites. I would love to see more.

Heres a big question: As normal human/citizen, which would you rather live in? Personally, DC would be more horrific based on the fact that theres so many superman type characters that could crush a building like paper.

Black Adam, and the Blackest Night. But Marvel's not without it's fair share of horrors to the average joe. It's a world where superheroes go to war with one another, and people create giant robots to commit acts of genecide.

Oh, I can see Ghost Rider and Specter butting heads, big time.

I'm definitely late to the party, as usual, but I would absolutely love this to happen. I know the fallout from the last time these to Comic giants merged makes it near impossible for it to actually happen again, however, I'm not one to be against fantasizing about it. Imagine Anti Monitor and Galactus colliding! I'd love to get some GL corps joining up with the likes of Silver Surfer and maybe Nova. I'd like to see Darksied and Thanos battle it out (not sure why they would other than something infinity gauntlet related). Wolverine would be getting in the Bat's face way too often just out of sheer principle and then get placed in a fetal position by a extremely high pitched sound from one of Batman's many wonderful toys to put him in check. Batman and Cap I feel would see eye to eye. Namor and Aquaman would be a very interesting interaction. Tony would be attempting to nail Diana Prince in vain. Spider-man would be wondering why Deadpool is so much less talkative. Deadpool would wonder why Deathstroke hates himself so much (obviously because he's trying to kill Deadpool). Man, I can go on for a while.

this has epic all over it. ghost rider and specter would clash big time. oscorp & lexcorp would do some kinda merger where norman and lex would try to take over EVERYTHING, before norman flips then goes after lex. but asfar as the JLA and avengers teaming up that would be supreme overkill. what possible threat could the world be in for 2 of the biggest hero teams to join up?

I loved the Amalgam universe and am also a big fan of Marvel/DC crossovers. I think a year-long arc that's outside canon would give both companies a chance to really explore character dynamics.
It would also mean that we wouldn't have to worry about both companies fighting to make sure their characters aren't upstaged by the other company's characters. The down side would be for the writers to try to figure out how the concepts of the two universes would work together. For example, how would Marvel handle the Green Lantern Corps? Or how would DC handle the Celestials or Galactus?

I'd be down for that, major mainstream crossovers always peak my interest.

I wonder how the marvel universe would take to Batmans holier then though attitude when he decides Galactus is NOT a needed evil and creates something to stop him. Does it become the marvel universe VS Batman or do they just let him be. So many questions.

But I will admit, it'd be an epic fallout if Bruce got others to help him try to take out the big G.

This would make for some epic story telling, that's for sure. Ghost Rider and Specter, Swamp Thing and Man Thing. Green Lantern and Nova Corps. Deadpool and Deathstroke (The Wilson Boys Reunited), Scarlet Witch and Zatanna, Red Tornado and Vision, so many more there, would be EPIC.
