Interesting idea! I wonder if Hasbro would consider something like this. However, what scale?
If they do 3&3/4" I could see if happening. Hasbro tends to repack figures they have already done in many of these 2 packs. Back when I was buying this scale, I would constantly end up with double figures. I think a good number of these have been made in this scale. I honestly would be angry if they did this in a 6 inch scale (which is the only scale I buy Marvel figures in now). For instance, I already have both Jane Foster Thor figures (the SDCC one and the single pack one). I would be pretty angry if the only way I could get an updated classic Thor was in a roughly $40 2 pack with one figure I already own. I feel like most of these team up 2 packs fall into the same category. Granted this is just me. New collectors would probably buy these up like there is no tomorrow. I'm mostly looking at this as $40 a set, 10 sets. $400 for really only needing 1 figure from each pack would bug me. In the end, I suppose I would have a lot of custom fodder. |

If it were 6 inch scale, we have so many of these already. But I think it could be a good idea nonetheless, for those who missed the waves or the packs they were in already. For me the only one I would buy would be the Wolverines one, and I actually suspect we will get just such a 2 pack of that next year.

It's a very good idea in concept, but it'd be kinda annoying in execution with most of the these figures having been released previously. Though in retrospect, they do this same thing all the time so it wouldn't be a foreign concept to them.
Out of the 2-packs you mentioned, my "MUST HAVES" would be the Wolverines, Phoenixes, and the Ms. Marvels. |

This could be bad IMO. I mean you would probably get one cool set and the rest are just Spidey and Iron Man 2 packs.

I could potentially see Hasbro doing this, but not without also releasing at least the classic figures outside the set as well, either beforehand or later on.

Too many of the modern versions are crap IMO, so I'd have to pass on this, Just keep going with the vintage line so those of us that collect characters based on their classic looks can enjoy getting a classic team of X-men or Avengers together. And I don't care if I'm the only one that thinks Wonderman's 1st app costume is awesome and I hope Hasbro makes him one day soon! And Swordsman & Black Knight & Count Nefaria are way over due as well.

I think the Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Ms. Marvel 2 packs are the best of your picks. Couple of points though:
I would've included the Captain Marvel 2 pack but I think they'll save Mar-Vell for when the MCU movie comes out. Unless they wanted to do a repaint with his cosmic awareness, then you could do that 2 pack as well. |
