The new Drax has a darker skin tone, blue pants, and a more accurate (if angrier) headsculpt likeness to Dave Batista. The figure is also made of stiffer plastic from the previous one, which had a soft, gummy, quality to it. Other than that, it's the same figure in nearly every way.
Oh...and he comes with a bazooka...which like the large weapon that came with Starlord in the first movie wave, is likely to be a plot device of some sort in the upcoming film... Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 02-22-2017 at 10:39 PM.. |

Actually Rocket came with the chest-cannon thingy but it was meant for Quill. Star-Lord came with the alternate head (which looked awful, man this new one looks so much more like Pratt), his guns, headphones, the Walkman, and the orb. I get off on correcting people.

I want to get him to complete the team! All the Guardians are my favorites! I wasn't able to find him though for the first movie. So definitely a must buy for me. Great pics!

The way stores are in my area I had only found Star Lord, Iron Man and Nova I believe. That's why I bought things earlier online lol also it was kind of a fear of a Civil War sitaution however I came to learn Even James Gunn had said he would have a personal hand in the figures which is why there's so much abundance and availability and greatness James Gunn always a man to his word keeping his promises to fans

I know what you're talking about with the gummy material. The only figure I had from the first movie was Starlord, and when he came in the mail and was all bendy I was not happy...and ended up getting rid of him. I didn't know the other characters had that problem too. It's good to see that it has been addressed because it was ridiculous.

The paint apps on my Vance were a bit sketchy. I would say the low point of the wave for sure. Still going to look decent on the shelf because of the hearty build and pretty, glittery blue paint.

Is there a reason why the blue guy wields Cap's Shield?

He's from an alternate future, Cap had been long dead by the time he took up the shield.

Looks much too old/flat-faced to be Vance. Is that Radioactive Man's head?

Nope. Comparing the two, basically everything's different. Radioactive Man's brow is scowling and furrowed, while Vance's is more neutral. Radioactive Man has a much larger butt-chin, while Vance has more pronounced cheekbones, and a slightly pointier nose. Radioactive Man's head seems to be bigger, not just in general size, but also in the proportion of the cranium to the face.

I hate that Marvel felt the need to tie Angela to a main character but it's been a LONG time since she got a figure so I definitely want this one. I preferred when she first showed up and they vaguely left it open that her Spawn origins were there she just couldn't quite remember.

"Not only is the head sculpt just amazing and the paint application on point she is an awesome character with deep history in Image Comics."
- Fixed... Great photos as always...although the review itself really missed the mark and sees things through rose colored glasses on the cons section. Angela here has a couple a, mostly with all of the loose pieces on the figure (the belt, armor on the arms) which dangle loosely on the figure and cause the figure to be twitchy and difficult to work with when striking a pose. The huge hair piece on this her can also cause articulation issues, both with the arms and with the fact that she can barely turn her head or do anything with the neck swivel. Cool figure, glad to have her in my collection, but she could have been executed a bit better. |

So I checked in at a local walgreens today since that's where everybody is finding this wave and the only figures they had were the 2 Starlords. I asked an employee if they had any more in the back and they told me that somebody else had already asked earlier and bought all of the other guardians figures they had. Disappointing as usual.
Darkhawk is a character I've always had a fondness for and yet has little to no toys out there, besides this new legends I'm pretty sure his only other figure is the MU one. He's a definite get for me but I'm not too impressed with how they did his wings so it's not a must-have. The wings aren't bad but I feel like maybe they could've done better.

Chris Powell was a normal New York City teenager until he found the Darkhawk amulet in an old abandoned amusement park. With the amulet he could transfer his consciousness into a shadowy avian android named Darkhawk. Chris learned to control the powers provided him by the android body.
