Great find Sean!
Anywho, you can buy this online at HTS.com after the convention and besides...the WW2 cap that was an exclusive last year was made into a figure for the cap line and is mainstream. So...this figure can be accessible at some point I'm sure |

Gimme gimme gimme.
I look forward to the return of Marvel Legends. Hopefully this signifies the line's return is not so far off. Last edited by Optimatron; 07-16-2011 at 06:54 AM.. |

Can't wait for this one it looks even better than the MS & MU ones combined!! I do detest the exclusive treatment this guy got because with Thor being critically acclaimed & all, many people will want top get a comic figure that is dead on with the movie. That was a HUGE opportunity for Hasbro to capitalize there & it's a shame that they wanted to do that.

So I'm assuming when this mold gets released at normal retail (which it most likely will be, unless they made the new mold for one off usage like this) that it will have some kind of paint apps or accessory or something to differentiate it from the con version right?

Isn't DC kind of killing Marvel in the toy department? I don't remember seeing Marvel's characters in a 6" line since the "other" Marvel Legends line ended several years ago. Many lines may be downsizing, but they should really have a 6" line to at least compete with DC's "DC Universe" line.

Meh. Toybiz Thor is the only Thor I'll ever need. For an exclusive this guy better have real metal armor lol.

Don't worry...the original Marvel Legends line was badass enough to put DCUC to shame even without still being around. At least a lot of characters were unique molds, instead of being retools of 3 different sized bodies. There were retools, and the use of the same base body as different characters, but not to the extent that Mattel has gone. I love DCUC, but Mattel pretty much just copied the formula created by Toy Biz. Don't worry though Hasbro is bringing back Marvel Legends for 2012. I hope it's as good to the Toy Biz run. While that line had some qc problems from time to time, it was awesome, and the Marvel Legends line didn't go down hill untill Hasbro took over in my mind....

I just hope they re-do some figures from the previous lines, like, oh I don't know, ULTRON. Don't get me wrong I wanna see new figs, but I want a classic ultron in 6 inch scale, and a bigger Captain Britain and wonder man, they were great figs, but kinda small.

Hasbro's 2012 Marvel Legends Wave 1 Line-Up?!?
Marvelous News reader SolidSnakeInMyPants has revealed to us that Hasbro's first wave of new Marvel Legends figures for 2012 to contain the following figures: - Klaw - Hope summers - Constrictor - Steve Rogers - Iron man - Movie Ghost Rider - Thor The Build-A-Figure will be Terrax. It should be noted we have not been able to confirm this list ourselves from Hasbro, but Snake has had pretty good Marvel Legends intel in the past so we thought it was worth passing along to you. We should obviously no more directly from Hasbro during the course of the week as the 2011 San Diego Comic Con kicks off later this evening. |
