Oh goodness, these all look great. As a Team Cap guy, I've been waiting for figures to have posed against Iron Man, Black Panther, and the upcoming Holland Spidey

What is "set of 2 units"? As in the box only comes with Bucky and Falcon? So they won't be short-packed?
No BAF! Jim Lee Punisher! Looks great! Strange choice of a white shotgun, but that doesn't matter. No BAF again! Does this mean the BAF madness is over? |

As far as "No BAF" parts, I think given these are Captain America Wave 2.5 and Spider-Man wave 3.5 figures, they exist more to be characters people want to see. Hasbro does this from time to time, do they not?

Hasbro really has a hard time getting the likeness right on Sebastian Stan don't they? I would've preferred them to make another attempt at a masked head sculpt.

I thought the Civil War Winter Soldier and Falcon were going to be a two pack, especially to accommodate the wings. Interesting that they are going to have two exclusive single carded figures. After Black Panther, Falcon is my most wanted ML figure. Love that Red Wing is included.

Not really interested in the 2-pack. The Punisher on the other hand.... although I am still doubtful if he will be better than that (very old) first-version Toybiz Punisher.....

I don't need another Winter Soldier, but I really want Falcon. I don't really get Punishers appeal.

I'm pretty stoked that they're making that new Winter Soldier. Depending on how good the likeness of Stan is in person, I may pass up the diamond select one. I know the ML version won't be better, but I have more investment in the line. Last edited by scarecrow; 05-16-2016 at 08:48 AM.. |

31. It could be an age thing, popular culture is completely over-saturated with bland, white, hyper-masculine, male killers, I've grown up with so many in film, tv, comics, books etc. I just do not care about them.

...we need some clarification on these, because last we knew, Bucky and Sam were going to be a Walmart-exclusive 2-pack, and Frank was the next Walgreen's exclusive after Namor. Is this just how they're going to be sold in non-US markets, given that this is from the Taiwan facebook page?

Now, its not a matter of excitement about them bringing a new character into plastic but rather a new Punisher figure based on "War Journal" which is amazing. So I am excited to see what Hasbro will bring to the table (and hopefully they deliver sth more than good ol Bucky Cap). I guess the 2-pack doesn't excite me that much cause I tend to dislike movie figures compared to comic iterations of the characters (let alone that I do not really share a particular liking for the Falcon as a character in general). I love the Jim Lee Punisher, been waiting a long time for this one. Someone over at Hasbro knows what they are doing considering the characters they are releasing around the Civil War. For those that don't know or never read Civil War the Punisher plays a pretty significant role in the comics. If it wasn't for Punisher Spider-man would be dead.

How old are you? He's very popular to people of a certain age because he was created during a time where characters didn't have the same "edge" that he did. The angry vigilante thing really hasn't gone out of style for some people. He's also really popular among members of the armed forces. I can see the appeal of a character who kills for the "right" reasons.

I would not say Batman is an anti-hero, at least not consistently enough. Most of his best stuff will lean him into anti-hero territory but then a lot of stuff also presents him as reserved. I think part of it also comes down to his no killing rule. While traditionally anti-heroes don't have to hold a firm stance regarding killing in comics it is easier to observe that most characters we consider anti-heroes have been purposefully lethal at least once. Guys like Punisher, Wolverine, Moon Knight, and even Deadpool hold more definite positions as anti-heroes and it's evident by the other heroes usually having a degree of dislike or distrust towards them because they have body counts.

Think I'll have to get that Punisher and hang him up next to Venom.
May not be much of a fan of Legends but every once in a while one comes along that I just can't pass up. |

As much as we would like to fantasize about it, we will never be able to travel the world learning all of it's fighting styles, have an endless fortune, or be a detective that puts Sherlock Holmes to shame, as well as the most eligible bachelor or bachelorette in town, but any emotionally detached or unstable individual with a knowledge of and access to firearms and the steadiness to use them while under fire, could go out into the streets and take the law into their own hands if they so desired. They more than likely won't get very far because police units are no where near as inept as they are in comic book, but it's still very much a possibility. This sort of vigilantism has in fact become quite common in South and Central America, where civilians are taking up arms and patrolling their own streets in an attempt to rid themselves of the narcos and drug dealers that have preyed on them for far too long. |

Interesting because I thought Falcon and Winter Soldier were supposed to be a two pack. I'll be buying Falcon for sure then and of course Punisher if I ever find them.
Although, what is up with the f'ing pink and white colored guns? That is down right retarded.
