The article needs fixed... Rogue wasn't "gifted with flight, super strength, and invulnerability"... those were abilities she stole from Ms. Marvel from prolonged contact that took years to wear off. They were actually a curse, because in the back of her mind, while having those powers, the personality and memories of Ms. Marvel haunted her.

I know I'm a bit late to comment on Rogue, but I thought I'd reshare some shots I took a little while back on another thread, as I had a lot of fun with them...
"Halt Mutant!..." "Sugah...you just picked the wrong girl to get handsy with..." ...cues up the X-Men animated theme.... "NEVAH... ...touch a lady.... *!!!STOMP!!!* ...UNLESS SHE INVITES YOU TO!!!" |

I like how Phoenix turned out, very nice.
I wonder what the odds are that one of the remaining unannounced figures from the next X-Men wave will be this again repainted with a new head as the Dark Phoenix? Probably pretty good odds. |

The way she was revealed in the SDCC panel leads me to think she'll be an exclusive of some sort. If she was to be part of the line, I don't see why they wouldn't just show her off with the rest of the X-wave figures. |

God dammit, I want a Sentinel in my collection now!!!
Phoenix is amazing. My second favorite of the set. I know she didn't come with any accessories or anything, but I think she looks phenomenal. The green paint they used looks so good and it makes the gold really pop. I just hope she doesn't suffer from gold plastic syndrome in 10 years.

I wouldn't mind an exclusive version, especially if it means they can add in some fire effects, too. |

Nice figure. Geez, they really made him look like that evil soldier dude from Avatar, didn't they?

Cable is kick-ass, and the figure looks and feels great in-hand, suitably towering over most of the wave. However, I just wish the guns had some sort of wash on them to bring out the detail and really make them look "metallic". The same goes for Deadpool's guns as well, I find myself swapping them out for Neca ones when displaying them because the Hasbro produced ones just look so grey, plasticy and like a toy. Cables vest could have used a wash too to help make it pop a little more, but as it is it looks pretty great.

Yeah, I was really impressed with Cable and I was expecting him to be one of my least favorites from the wave.

What's funny is that I just used scenes from this bit in my Double Indemnity review and in one of my videos for an upcoming Gundam panel I'm doing.

I don't get people's hatred of Juggernaut. Sure, his helmet doesn't fully sit on his body properly, but that is just a minor nitpick compared to a near perfect figure. He looks like Juggernaut. His belt isn't mandatory (and that is a good thing since the comics I've been reading he doesn't have one), he is massive, and he can stand on one leg in a running pose.

I agree, that Rogue has one mighty-fine sculpted ass! I always appreciated how voluptuously she was drawn in the cartoon. Especially because that super-skinny no-curves heroin-chic look was so popular during that period of the nineties. Rogues bountiful-curves, ample-butt and silky-southern accent were just one of the many highlights of that excellent X-Men cartoon series. I love how the majority of this wave really evokes the nostalgia for that particular team of X-Men. Definitely looking forward to the Jim Lee Cyclops upcoming in wave 2 to help get us ever closer to completing that roster.
I agree about Juggies too, he's truly epic. He's everything you'd ever want in a Juggernaut figure. Truly massive, bulky and imposing, classic costume styling and an excellent centre of gravity. Awesome choice for this waves BAF.

Juggernaut is definitely throwing out some major X-Men vs Street Fighter type vibes. Love how massive he is!
