..."Iconic spider cycle"??? Did something change about Spiderman's mode of transportation since I last got one of his comics?

Sounds like there might be some rather interesting Marvel figures coming out next year. I wonder how the "Iron Assemblers" gimmick will affect the articulation of the figures. Also, I kinda like the look of that Spider-Man in armor design.
Anyways, I really wish Hasbro would drop the new-wave-every-month thing. Seriously, retailers aren't going to learn that they shouldn't buy soooo much of the first wave of a line, so we're still never going to see the following two or three waves of figures at retail....ever. They need to cut it down to, at most, a new wave every three months. Here's to hoping that the first wave of these lines contain the only interesting figures...

I think you're kinda contradicting yourself. If there's only 1 wave every 3 months, there will end up being a ton of wave 1 on pegs. By soliciting 3 waves right away, they're letting retailers know there's plenty of stuff planned, so hopefully there will be a greater variety of product on shelves and not just 1 wave.

If Iron Assemblers have limited articulation I forsee a line that takes even longer to sell than the Iron Man 2 line from 2010 where even now you can readily find some with expired coupons included.

Please, know what you're doing Hasbro. I'd love to be proven wrong on this...

I don't see how I'm contradicting myself. Stores are going to buy up a lot of wave one no matter how much time there is between waves. Having them closer together like this is only going to compound the issue, as it'll mean even more waves get ignored by retailers. If it did somehow work, and got stores to stock each wave, rather than their wave 1 heaviness, I'd support it. I just don't see how having a new wave of figures coming out each month would do that.
Please, know what you're doing Hasbro. I'd love to be proven wrong on this... For all the waves of Iron Man 2 figures, only the final (Mandarin wave) was hard to find. Captain America released it's first two waves back to back, neither of which were hard to find. All of the Avengers waves were eventually on shelves in large quantities. Don't worry about the waves, worry if these figures will be t-crotched pieces of crap. |

He won't. If X-Men First Class doesn't warrant a series, neither will Ant Man.

You're probably right, but a big part of the lack of First Class' product is the rushed production schedule of the movie. As we all know, it takes a year or two for production on merchandise and the movie's production timeline didn't allow for that.
