Woo Shodo-X 1 payment request came in! I'm excited and I don't even collect vehicles! I just really love this line.

Hey guys! I’m a very infrequent poster especially as things have dried up on the 4 inch Marvel front, but I thought you might be interested in my blog where I talk about how to fill the void left behind with Kamen Rider figs. Let me know whatcha think.
I’m planning on hitting up Ultraman and Godzilla lines in the coming weeks, too. http://https://gotstratosphere.com/2...en-rider-stye/ |

New blog showcasing Shodo-X wave 2 ending with a tease for future Shodo-X figures.

I know what the top right is and I feel dumb for not realizing sooner. It's Agito Ground, Flame, and Storm forms. The red and blue are to one side of each body. Storm's weapon is next to them.
Also, if Agito is in the top right, then the thing I labeled Dragreder might be the Machine Tornador. It's a toss up on that one. Still zero idea on the brown ones above Ryuki. Last edited by Blade Raider; 10-12-2018 at 12:42 PM.. |

The newest Epoch Daretoku Oretoku is out. Has 2 male bots with the moped style head, and then the bicycle style helmet, and the vehicle this time is a 3 set. A Segway, two wheeled board, and a one wheel cycle, that can combine to make a scifi style trike of two types.
Got a couple on order. Quote:
Another new one I'm going to look into for robot army building is Desktop Army, but they're more cutesy than normal scale things. Roughly half the size of 1:18th scale things. More like kid robots. I'd like to get into the FGO figures, but that cost is too steep for me right now. Ultraman still looks fantastic, and glad to see Shodo riders growing more still. Feels great to finally be able to complete the collection in scale. Though tbh, Ultraman Shodo isn't to 1:18th scale, it's more 1:180th scale. Unless they do the netflix anime/Manga version. I've been troop building the Daretoku, but outside of getting a few more fems of those and waiting on new head sculpt designs, I think I have near plenty now for SHIELD/GI Joe and Cobra. Got so many, even Deadpool has a red wait staff of robos to serve him on his lounge chairs. It's getting to the point that if I get a few more, I'm outright going to start looking into repaints into Sentai Robot Rangers using suit colors as the basis for android rangers. Quote:

The robo fem is called a "Phantom" and is also a "Commit" piece. And the extra robos/artillery are called "Commit Equipment". The AA stands for Add Active. No clue what the BB stands for between the sets. They are usually released in two types. An AA set of the Kansou girls, and the BB which is the commit equipment and most of the time 3 phantoms. And the parts are designed to combine in whatever way you want to create whatever you want, which includes some preset builds to help get your imagination started. Either one of us could be right on the Ryuki variants. I think we're all 100% agreed that there are Ryuki riders and of course that Shocker Rider in corner.
Speaking of the Shocker Rider, Wave 3 of Shodo-X has been revealed. Coming out in Feb 2019. Lineup: -Kamen Rider New 1 [Silver Gloves] -Kamen Rider New 2 [Red Gloves] -Shocker Rider -The New Cyclone (A-Side) Initial & Late Kaul -The New Cyclone (B-Side) -Fake The New Cyclone (A-Side) -Fake The New Cyclone (B-Side) I knew I was right to skip the first wave. I only wanted one bike for Rider 1 and 2 and knew they'd do the New versions eventually. Just didn't expect it to be wave 3. Also, there will be 3 extras in the case. Wonder if they'll make them all Shocker Riders so that if you kept the 2 from the ShodoVS wave you would have 6 total with the extras from this wave. Probably won't though. |

Do hope Tiger is one of them, but hopefully if they do Ryuki, they do the contract beasts too. I definitely want a Tiger with his giant tiger. |

Because Bandai thinks there isn't enough SO-DO to collect already, next year will see the beginning of SO-DO Chronicle, a line of past Riders in SO-DO style. Starting with Kamen Rider W.

Isn't So-Do the line where the build-a-Kamen with sticker apps comes from, like the Zi-Os that just came out?

I believe so. It's the 'candy toy' figure line iirc.

They Shrunk them down from the Build series? Because Build's Sodo were 5 inch.
I'd planned on looking into troop building their soldier robos until I found out they were too tall. *Edit* Well, if they're the same as Ex-Aid's, then they should be roughly MU height to some of the taller ones of those like Warpath. So not too bad, bigger than Shodo, but not as big as W's original candy toy figure line was. The closest scale comparison pics I could find was Ex-Aid Sodo to Shodo Black. So apparently the seller I asked this about mis-measured. xD Well that sucks. Last edited by Snowflakian; 10-25-2018 at 06:59 PM.. |

This is a figure from the Build line. He's a bit taller than a Kamen Rider SHODO but smaller than a beefier MU. Definitely not 5".

The walls aren't even 5" tall in this picture. Tallest figure is YU-DO Patren 1 at 4.5".
And here's a picture with a 5" Alien Red Ranger (and even he's a tiny bit shorter than 5"). People might be thinking of the short lived Full Action SAGA line, which were Gachapon toys, but I don't own any of those to compare. |

*Edit* To be fair though, if you measure Skurge, Warpath, or Deathlok, they are closer to 5" than 4. They are the same height as the Toy Biz Marvel Super Hero figures from the late 80s early 90s. It's kind of funny comparing the old Toy Biz Deathlok to the MU one because of that. You notice this if you compare original GI Joe (True 3.75") to modern Joe(4" almost 4.25), then MU too. Our measurements are slightly off on the bigger. Even Marvel Legends though it's called 6" is closer to 6.5 but right under 7". The W fang joker I have though is what it was compared to before. And that figure is below 6" but noticeably bigger than 4". Hope they keep this scale for later Sentai figure kits and Riders. Always did prefer the Den-O/Decade sized candy kit figures over the bigger W ones. Wish I had known that sooner though, I would have been bolstering my rider figure collection sooner. @Ninjinister For future reference, what Rider would you like to see in Sodo Chronicle? Honestly I'd be satisfied with all of them ever and the villains coming to SHODO. But if I had to choose a SODO Chronicle? ZO and RX Black, my first two Riders I was introduced to.

I dunno. I'm not really fond of the label application thing and I haven't gotten around to painting any of the ones I've got. I'm not even sure why I got the Zi-Os. Must be that Climax Scramble hype.
Honestly I'd be satisfied with all of them ever and the villains coming to SHODO. But if I had to choose a SODO Chronicle? ZO and RX Black, my first two Riders I was introduced to. Sodo is sticking to Heisei, so ZO is a maybe, but Black RX might be harder, though is possible since it was the rider that ended the previous era. Shodo has already done both though, so I assume you already have those. Am curious now what a Chronicle ZO would look like though. That could be really interesting. Quote:
When I get a picture area set up again, I'll take a few quick snaps of it. I keep it on my Minipla shelf though instead of MRS/Shodo because of how much taller it is than the others. It's a shade shorter than the Gekiranger candy toy ranger model kit figures, but noticeably bigger than MRS/Shodo and other candy toy figures of Riders I keep in that display. I'd originally bought it thinking it'd be the same size as the Decade ones I was using to fluff out my then MRS shelf, but it was too big which was disappointing. But for as cheap as it was, not much to complain about. Was cheap back then even for Ebay import scalpers. Back during W, they had two types. One was a generic candy toy that had an integrated show gimmick iirc. These were under 1:18th scale. Not even 3.5" tbh, they were closer to 3" maybe 3.25". Then for Fang Joker though, they had a candy kit style full figure that was closer to 5" almost 5.5". Full articulated. Came in the same candy toy wave as the Fang Memory kit. Since that character had no combo with other memory sticks, it didn't use the old style combo gimmick or size and was a full figure you built and added stickers to like a minipla. I'd forgotten that Sodo were built to spec closer to Decade's candy toy size. Been hesitant to re-check the sizes since Fang Joker. And then other "mis-information" issues from other areas didn't help much either. But Sodo and Shodo are supposed to work relatively complimentary, with some mild creative license on Chronicle. Though I'd still wait for a size chart comparison before diving in on Chronicle after W's Fang Joker kit from before. I'd been hesitant to check if Sodo actually went to original spec or not. Still slightly miffed at the mis-information areas, because I would have been bolstering my Shodo/MRS figures with new riders sooner then. Before Shodo, the last I had were Decade Complete and Diend in that scale. So I'm missing nearly all of post-Decade riders. Thankfully Shodo is filling those in along with Faiz. But still need Chalice, a non-battle damaged Garren, and Leangle. The rest of the Faiz characters would be nice too. Hopefully they do the movie riders from Faiz, because Psyga with his gear would be sweet to have. Last edited by Snowflakian; 10-27-2018 at 02:32 AM.. |

Was it similar to this O's kit? I think this one is around 5". |

The Kansou Equipment set arrived. Don't have a space for pics yet, but damn they are nice.
They are about roughly MRS height. Shade below MU, but slightly taller than Shodo. Makes a pretty perfect Jocasta too. They are fiddly though, and do fall apart if you aren't careful. It's the single hinge construction system without a locking plate, so that's to be expected, but it's got a wide range of motion. Only lacking wrist and Foot articulation but with how thin the sculpts are, that's not possible on these. Haven't gotten a pack of the Kansou girls yet to try though. That'll have to wait until I have extra cash. Juggling too many toylines. Quote:
I'd have to dig out the box, but I think it's this one. https://www.facebook.com/pg/PalyWith...31840460178967 Last edited by Snowflakian; 10-27-2018 at 04:20 PM.. |
