Amiami’s shipping has me confused. What’s the safest and cheapest way to get figures delivered to the US? I’m looking at the 10 pack of Kamen Rider Shodo and Ultraman Choudo figs if it matters.

DHL is what I am using. It gets here within a week or 10=days. I used to use the cheapest but I have a few things that have shipped but not moved. Not sure what has happened to them. Guessing they are stuck

DHL don't even try to deliver shit to me, I have literally sat on my front steps and gotten an alert on my phone on how "nobody was available" to accept the parcel and there never was a truck or employee which came to the door.

AmiAmi has always been good to me (I use their eBay store). DHL just texted me to confirm/authorize the no contact agreement. So I guess you can give them additional instructions to see if they follow through.

Currently DHL is the only service AmiAmi uses that is shipping to the US. Most if not all of the other options for international shipping from Japan are not shipping to the US right now due to the pandemic.

After wave 2, there will be only two left to make, Lilymon and Zudomon. So here's hoping for at least 3 waves. An image of scale is shown: The blank Shodo body is about 100mm tall and is the same size as Shodo Kamen Riders. It's noted that the Digimon are a bit small, but they had to make them that way to stay within the pricing. Thanks for all the replies to my shipping question. For one case with DHL it came out to just under $20 US. I’ve been lulled into complacency with Japanese eBay shipping prices. Even after amiami sale prices, it came out to about what I would pay on EBay.

Sad to see this thread with so little activity, so I'll treat it with a cool find I accidentally found.
The line is called "Jojo's Bizarre adventure Free Motion Figure" or ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 フリーモーションフィギュア in Japanese if you actually want to find these things. It was made by Banpresto in Nov. of 2000, almost exactly 20 years ago. There is also a One Piece Line of these figures that uses swivel cuts instead of Ball joints, so I might look those up later in a different post. The line seems to have ball joints for each of the limbs while the wrists are, with the exception of Hierophant Green having Ball joints for his hands and Silver Chariot having a balljoint for his sabre hand. Here's some reviews I found. https://shishioh.info/jojo.html https://blog.goo.ne.jp/omotyatyatya/...8559ea97416adc ?????????? ????????????? https://nekonekopa.exblog.jp/17187155/ https://nekonekopa.exblog.jp/17483694/ The only way you are realistically going to find these are from Mercari, Jauce, and Amazon.jp, the latter being your best shot at getting all of them through White Rabbit Express. This is the only one I found on Ebay, The World. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Banpresto-J...e/153886697985 And if you really want a "The Fool" or "Magician's Red" to go with these, there was a less articulated/ preposed line done a year after that featured a larger line up with M.R, Iggy as an accessory, and The Fool as a build-a-figure. Magician's Red though seems kinda lame looking, and the Fool is unpainted so you are better off getting the stand collection versions unless you want Iggy too. The Iggy figure here seems similar to the standard HG Gashapon set or the Banpresto Mini Figure Collection for Jojo, which comes with a very cool looking version of the The Fool. ?????????? ?????????? https://www.ebay.com/itm/JoJos-Bizar...YAAOSwfx1evrO- The Jojo Key Holder series which features Humans and stands under the "Stand Collection", are also pretty cool despite being static figures. They can be found easily on Ebay. |

Oh shit I've wanted Jojo in this scale forever.
Looks expensive as balls though.

The reason I speculated to being threefold. 1. The series is relatively more mature than Dragonall and thus likely a narrower age demographic, but this is the weakest reason. 2. In general, certain popular franchises with brand image in mind limits it's merchandising. 3. Jojo is very much a product of it's aesthetic, emphasizing the fashion model like quality of the characters and poses. Thus, expensive markets like statues would be to go to route. The least expensive 3.75 stuff would be the keychains mentioned and maybe the part 1 and 2 HG Bandai gashapons. The part 3 ones, for whatever reason, are more like 3.5 inch. In the Marvel thread, I'll update my jonathan custom I have been working on. |

While most of you guys are familiar with the Microman and Revolmini Kinnikuman figures, there is a another ones called G Muscle or Gマッスル for better results. They seem to be better scaled with the Microman figures, the only one I have being the Buffaloman figure.

There's quite a few really good static figures in this scale, they used to be really cheap but I got them before the peak of the Jojo craze.

After painstaking research, I think I managed to create a comprehensive enough guide on how to get as many Posable 1:18 scale compatible figures for this franchise, since it probably has the most consistently availability over the course of roughly 15 years. I'm not including the Banpresto Keychains, any possible Bandai Gashapon, because those aren't figures in the same sense and are likewise a given.
For the record, I'm not actually very familiar with Kinnikuman as a show or Manga, so I can't assess these as what a fan would want from an action figure. Being familiar with some of these types of actions, however, I can list out some pros and cons. The first one is Banpresto's "Action Figure collection" figure line from 1999. At first I was planning on leaving them out, but the sculpts and accessories honestly make up for their lack of articulation. Will probably collect as many on card as I can in the near future. These can be easily found either in English or in their Japanese name, which would be this. キン肉マン・アクションフィギュアコレクション See the bottom links of backs the blister cards to see the full roster for this line. https://japanimedia-ex.com/kinnikuma...e-japan-anime/ https://japanimedia-ex.com/kinnikuma...e-japan-anime/ The next set of figure lines are tricky, as they were all released in 2002 initially and all were for the show "2nd Generation". The first two of note can both be pinned with the text キン肉マン 可動フィギュア or キン肉マンⅡ世 可動フィギュア, which is honestly generic and can lead to mixing up the two. I had to find lots through google images on mercari in order to find more precise names. The only one I could find a both year and month with was the Bandai line up for the show released in Oct. 2002 , precisely called キン肉マン2世 アクションフィギュア, which translates to "Kinnikuman 2 action figure(s)". The first wave can be viewed here. ???? ?????2? ??????????2 These used hinges for the elbows, knees, and ankles. The second wave, here, have the elbows turn inward. https://www.bandai.co.jp/catalog/ite...43112067784000 Using the Japanese text, you can find all kinds of past lots or blog posts of these figures for ideas of how they are in hand, but here are the most comprehensive ones I could find. https://ameblo.jp/1974mikan37/entry-12536866568.html ??????????? ????????????????????? オークションã«ã - サクラんã¨ãƒŸã‚¯ã *ã‚“ The last one suggest that this line has some fragility issues, particularly with the second wave. The Second series is somewhat more generic title, translated roughly "Movable Superman figure" or something to that effect wit the 2nd generation labe1 attached to it. From what i can tell this was released in 2002 as well. キン肉マン2世可動超人フィギュア These seem to be of the same build engineering as the Stardust crusaders figures from 2000 with the build frames and balljoints, implying that the swivel-cut joints of the One Piece Banpresto line was made in 1999 in tandem with the anime, making it's engineering the result of it being the first in the line. https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/...83%A5%E3%82%A2 There are only three figures in this line up, but I've just recently managed to scoop them up myself. Relatively easy to track down on Yahoo Japan, Jauce, Mercari, etc. Same applies more or less to the Bandai series as well. The last 2002 figures of note are the "Super/Hyper Dimesnsion Fighter" series for Kinnikuman 2. The only things worthy of note is that it only has Mantaro and Kevin Mask, appear to have magnets in their feet similar to the Dragonball Popy figures, and their elbow joints are very similar to the 7-8 inch Romando figures. Will probably never pick these up. キン肉マン二世 超次元ファイター ケビンマス Next is the "Super figure movable figure collection" released first in July of 2005 as a full set. These are roughly 1:18 scale from what I can find and semi-posed along with with cuts and hinges the may have. Limited, but detailed and dynamic enough to pick up a few perhaps. https://www.1999.co.jp/10044294 超像可動フィギュアコレクション キン肉マン Now we can finally get into what is probably the most well known and default figure line for the Franchise and scale, the 2007 Microman line from Takara. Most here ought to be familiar with the Microman Line as it is, so I won't go into that much details. Here's a fairly comprehensive shot of the characters and variants available. ??????????? ?????????????????? https://microforever.net/MKseries1.htm A few things worthy of note, this line has "two" types of Ramenman figures outside of mere color variants. There is the bulky Ramenman which I believe is reflective of his early appearance and his more current narrower look. I personally own the narrower red version. These are common enough in Japan and non-japenese sites, it's mainly a matter of patience. Next we have the Romando "Glorious Muscle" figure line from 2008. These seem to be roughly the same scale as the Microman figures, though with a more limited character selection with just Suguru, Warsman, Robin Mask, Akuma, and Buffalo Man. On the bright side, however, they come is many variants, from colors, battle damage, etc. If you are going for the effort, and you already have Suguru from previous lines, then I would just try my best for the larger characters not seen in other lines. Otherwise, if the detail and suitable articulations suits your fancy, get as many as you can. I only own the normal Buffaloman. Gマッスルズ キン肉マン https://ameblo.jp/1974mikan37/entry-12536868521.html https://nekonekopa.exblog.jp/11708428/ ??????????? ?????????????? The final series would be Kaiyodo's Kinnikuman line in the there Micro Yamaguchi series in 2014. Their sculpts, paint, and range of possibility surpasses anything released prior and despite their age and company they can be bought at reasonable prices from both domestic and japanese sellers as low as $20-$30. The only downsides are their size, in which they are all roughly the size of the Larger Glorious Muscle figures. This puts a damper on the otherwise high compatibility of the previous lines with each other. As they are, they are better as standalones. One guy decided to use the full size SUguru as a base for a Micro Yamaguchi Buffaloman. STUDIO102 ??? https://nekonekopa.exblog.jp/22420030/ https://ameblo.jp/1974mikan37/entry-12536868521.html https://ameblo.jp/1974mikan37/entry-12536868659.html I'll edit this for any tips I have for searching, one being that you might get better results by typing in both a character's japanese spelled name with the line's name. |

ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 第5部 リアルフィギュア Translating into " Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Real Figure". From what little I could find, these were made in 2001 by Banpresto, making them older than the Bandai HGIF figures from 2006, the 2010-11 Crusaders/ Golden wind Super Revolution figures, and the Stand Collection Keyholders from 2012. The only other figures older are a 5 inch (roughly) Mirror gimmick figure line from Banpresto (that are relatively easy to find deals and info on) and the 3 inch Mini figure line from Banpresto for Stardust Crusaders. The thing is both of those lines are somewhat out of scale for most 3.75 size stuff, making these the first properly scaled ones. |

Those are pretty cool! I had been thinking of making some Joe BATS by adding gear/armor to my robots. This gives a good idea of how they'll turn out.
