Hate It Or Love It?
I hate it if its not modified, because the legs fall off too easily but just recently i modified havok and I love him now. Step 1-cut out the leg joints from any G.i joe you dont want.(for me it was neo-viper) Step 2-cut out the joint from any MU figure you want.(for me havok) Step 3-Switch. The Good- his legs dont fall off The Bad-he is left with a scar thats barley noticeable ,if i knew where to get that sculpty stuff i could cover the scar but i really dont feel like going anywhere at the moment. i plan on buying more neo-vipers at target for 2.49 each to do the same thing to characters like yellow jacket, 2pack red&blue spidey(the sentry 2pack) and figures from the past. Hmmm... I don't seem to have a problem with the legs falling off my figures that use the black spider-man body. I only have one black spider man and archangel and on both the legs have never popped of and both have pretty tight leg joints joints. Is it really that common of a problem? My problem is on my black spidey when I move the legs the hip/crotch area leaves scratches on his legs.

Symbiote and I are like plagued by this body style.
It's pure torture in my opinion. So Sym, you're basically taking out the metal bar in each of Joe figures and replacing it with the plastic dumbbell like thin in the MU figures? |

I like the body type as Hasbro is going to use a base body and this is heaps better than the Daredevil body they were using.

This is odd...I don't have problems with this body type...The legs on all of my figures actually stay on and I even play around with mine!

So have you ever tried to make them kick ,when i do it i get a crooked kick and then it falls off,but since i modified mine the legs kick straight and stay on.its pretty cool that i can hold his feet to the ground and push back and he moves like he's sitting and his legs dont fall off,Really fast too |

I've never had a leg fall off of one of those bodies. Dunno. It's one of my favorite bodies.

I'm kind of indifferent. It works for Spider-Man, but looks off when used for other characters (at least from what I've seen online).
Of the figures I do own that use this mold, they all seem fine to me. None of them become instant paraplegics when I try to pose them.

I've had a few figs that had their leg pop off with this body, namely Ironfist and Iceman. It was the left leg on both as well.

So is the silver surfer and electro body the same basic one as the iron fist/black spidey? It isn't the exact same, but its TONS better un my mind. If they just redo the hands for electro or surfer it would be just fine. The legs stay on great for surfer and electro....

I have to agree about that. Compared to the rest of MU, the Black Spidey is too tall. But on his own, I think he looks fine.

I gotta weigh in here.
It's a good body on its own. I really dig it in the House of M suit. The main problem is that it's far too tall. I find myself either displaying him cross-legged with my other MU or away from the rest of his fellow Marvel's entirely.

What's wrong with Spidey being tall? I've always seen him as a tall character.

He's apparently 5' 10". Seems about right for a young man with a slight build.
Marvel Wiki Spider-Man He definitely shouldn't be taller than Cap in any case.

I prefer teen to early twenties Peter Parker, who always appear less than 6" to me.

Well and also remember, SHIELD series vs HAMMER series; they are COMPLETELY different.
In SHIELD we had a lot of shorter molds (Punisher mold, DD mold) and they got rid of those. In HAMMER, we are now seeing a lot of new molds and even custom molds for unique characters (Thor etc). But in effect, all the HAMMER figures are way bigger then SHIELD figures. Example: House of M Spiderman TOWERS over Daredevil |
