Nice! This means it should be maybe a week or two before they hit the east coast.
Who plans on opening this set?

I plan on not even purchasing. Too much money for too much repeat imho. May snag the storm single for obvious reasons, but no one else is nearly improved enough for me to pick up. It's a very cool idea/set though otherwise. People who don't have several of them are hitting a jackpot!

I'm up in the air on this. How much is this going for? 50 bucks? I may pick it up and try to sell some of the others that I already have to recoup some money.
I'd open it like I do with mostly everything else that I buy. |

I'm not getting this either. My Marvel collection is 3.75. Put the new MU Cyclops, Apocolypse, and Cable, in a fancy package and get back to me, Hasbro.

Passing too, too much duplicates and slight changes are not worth it.

This might be a great set if you were just starting to collect the Marvel stuff, but I've already got 5 of the 6 figures so I just don't feel any need to track this set down for one figure and the costume change to Storm.
Which is kind of bad because I really like this idea of team sets, but when it's figures that have been done to death like Wolverine it's just hard to get excited about a team set. Rouge or some other X-Men that haven't been getting releases would have made the set more exciting. |

Thing is the only way to get that storm and thunderbird will be with this set. otherwise pay like $15-20 bucks for each. Might as well buy the set and sell the extra figures. Thats what i will do

Nightcrawler's paint on his chest is fixed this time too. Quote:
I skipped getting that Cyclops. Plus there are 3 new characters: classic Storm, Thunderbird, & classic Colossus. I think I may get the variant version if I ever find it. That way I won't have 2 the same Nightcrawlers. I can always paint over Storms "comic shading" too. This set is a Toys R Us exclusive. I'm not sure if people knew that. It is $34.99. Some TRUs are selling them for $37.99. (Those are the ones that usually have higher prices.) Last edited by Autobot_Goldbug; 04-27-2011 at 09:50 PM.. |

I don't know why people are so against this set really. The reasons most people state aren't that valid being that Hasbro has been mostly repainting everything from every line for the past couple years. And to say that it's not enough of a change is just wrong.
-ThunderBird is totally new (technically) -Storm is in a totally new/better costume -Wolverine's BEST sculpt is now better painted/deco'd -Classic Cyke now has an acceptable paintjob -Colossus now has a better paintjob/deco -Nightcrawler sculpt is still the same suck but what can you do. I really look forward to Storm mostly. My favorite Marvel character needs his woman. |

I don't have 4 of the characters in the set so I'm buying this.

I could be wrong, but I thought these were larger than the 3.75 figures? If they're 3.75 then I probably will get one because I like that Storm, don't have a Nightcrawler, or T-Bird, but if they're larger figures then 3.75 I'm out because that's the size I collect my Marvels.

I've found these at the 2 nearest TRU stores in my area for about $39.99 (not too sure if that's the price though) one had only one pack & the other had about 4 of them & they look just as advertised on the box

THis was found in Little Rock also, about 6 boxes at my local TRU. I also found the X-Men First Class two packs for 17.99 each.

yeah I'm from NY too at least the distrubution isn't a big of a pain when it came to those & the Thor figures. I wish it wasn't so tough to get the other lines to be more available over here.
