I've seen some speculation about a variant Ronin. Most of the checklists say that it will be available, but the Wave listed is TBD. I got one this week when we opened a case of Wave 12 figures that came in this week.

It's definitely black instead of grey. Also, notice his leg stance is different. I've taken a comparison photo to share.

At first I thought you were crazy, since I never heard of a Ronin variant. Interesting find!

scoring 12 at one time...I'd probably find a discrepancy here or there imo...good post tho..I have a blue Ironman (If You will) packed in a first series Spiderman w/ Ironman mug on the front..Hobgoblin w/ no grenade in hand...I wouldn't say there varients...

No, the examples you listed wouldn't be variants. But a different color Ronin is definitely considered a variant. Just like the darker red Daredevil

Also you have to consider the leg stance, looks like they could have used different legs? I don't know...

Either way, I'd totally take a darker Ronin

This was always listed as a variant but I had never seen it or heard about anyone who did. Very nice! I'll be on the lookout for this guy. Definitely liking the darker colors better. And the legs do look better as well.

Not enough of a difference to make me want to get it. It's like Hasbro said "oh wait, this is the shade we meant for the first release". Now if he had totally different coloring...or different color trim, I'd be more inclined.

It's a shame this figure comes out a year after they dropped Ronin as a character. One day, Clint was Ronin, and the next day, he's not. The original figure was not the best mold, either.

I'll still buy him if I find him .

SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP, IT'S FINALLY BEEN FOUND.

This damn thing was even less common than the dark Daredevil since it was only ever mentioned in an interview like a year and a half ago and no one ever found it.

Awesome, I'll be on the look out. I wonder if the new stance means the body has changed and you can adjust the legs better. If I remember correctly, the original was fairly impossible to get the legs into that position.

And if that's true, I wonder if the red Hand Ninja that is coming out in some revision cases will have the same fix?

This figure was pretty bad even though it looks really cool... The legs I can live with, but unless he can LOOK UP, I won't be happy.

You're right! I had to carve a little off the back of his head because he was permanently looking down.

brianregan09,

No, I can't take him out of the package. I have put this figure, and the rest of the figures from those cases up for sale, however, at Marvel Universe Figures at The Comic Crew

Regards,

I don't think they scored 12 at one time. I think they said they opened a wave 12 case and it was in there.

JohnnyAngel77, you are correct. Although I wish I had 12 of them. It was a single Ronin figure, in a case of Wave 12 Rev 5.

Damn, i see this one in My trip to Kuala Lumpur, In Suriah KLCC Mall there's TOYS R US in lower ground and found wolvie unmasked with new head, this RONIN and Warpath variant. I just get the warpath pnly.
In my point of view, yes we can say that a variant color from RONIN, since this variant more coll and comics rather than the normal one, but i prefer dont take it since only different a little...Your information makes me believe there's a variant color for RONIN, any collectors in KUALA LUMPUR just grab that figures !!!! since thats the only 1pcs at the store hehehehe

Anyone really want thos? My tarhet a one...forever now.
I never got one, never liked the identity (not even after someone took it up as a bad guy in the comics).

I bet it looks gret with thw black Hand ninja head from the Wolverine-two pack on it inistead.
You could call it the Hand leader- he leads by having greater leg movement than any Hand ninja!

Normally it's Electra- it keeps her in shape and morale up....but y'know, diversity. Some ninjas prefer the guys and so a master warrior was selected to (i'm just going to stop here).

Strange there's no Electra fig yet- she'd be cake to make from the standard buck (doe?) and there's already a slew of ninja weapons around (sia's can be used from a Storm Shadow).
I dont think I've even seen a custom of her!

Speaking of Elektra, is it me or does she always look Puerto Rican? I like her look & all but she looks incredibly hispanic.
