Hello,
if you're like me you're an avid fan of Marvel and these figures in particular. My question is how are you UK collectors getting your filthy paws on these figures? I'm currently using Play.com for the more generic stuff, occasionally suffering Amazon and ebay prices for more obscure figures but am currently reverting to Star Action Figures for pre-orders. They're totally reliable and fairly well priced. Are people finding these at retail? I've found plenty of movie tie-in stuff (wolverine and iron man) but very little MU. The only retail store i've found them in was my local Toymaster who had what I assume was wave four (namor etc). I managed to grab a grey hulk and daredevil for £7.99 each. Any advice for an avid collector? |

Being from ireland i feel you're pain mate theres next to nothing MU in ireland lol bar wave 1 which drew me into this line in the 1st place, I usually got to Star Action Figures or Scfigenre there pretty good also Big Bad toystore although they can be a bit pricey on shipping over here, other than that guys here and rumourbuster the other site ifrequent pick up things for me if they see them too, Actually comic book shops if you know any near by Forbidden Planet especially are a great place for spotting them

I know your pain too!
I'd agree with the Forbidden Planet suggestion - it's the only place so far I've seen virtually every wave, even so some figure are rather elusive. As for later waves of Movie figures (XMO Colossus or IM Hulkbuster), no chance it seems. After hoping (and failing) to find MU Archangel I've resorted to BBTS as well - I also collect Transformers so just get a job lot of stuff every few months. |

Actually try you're local TK Maxx they've had a lot of the X men Origins stuff lately, thats all though you won't find MU there, I think the Ironman 2 new stuff has been the hardest to find as Star and Scifi Genre don't do them and there always sold out on Big Bad toystore

I never thought of TK Maxx. That's a good shout. I have spotted, randomly, Wave 1 and 2 in toys r us, who are pretty much the best peeps for the movie lines as well.
That said Star have already dispatched a galactus to me so I guess I can't complain! |

I saw a few of the deluxe XMO figures in Forbidden Planet but never the Blob pack (I assume they're packed together so there must have been a few in the Britain/Ireland at least). It's the eternal dilemma - hope that you'll see it in retail or just buy it online. There's nothing quite like a successful toy hunting session, but then there's nothing more annoying than paying top dollar on ebay! I've pre-ordered Mandarin on BBTS (albeit as a set of 4) as I don't think we'll ever see him. |

I mainly get mine from Forbidden Planet in London and Toyz and Gamez in Norwich when I'm up there, however I've seen them and occasionally bought them in Toys R Us, Toymasters, Asda, Tesco and Debenhams. Usually the 2009 waves and occasionally the Thor wave.

I would eat a kitten to get a chance to see MU at retail around here. I enjoy paying £25 ($40) for figures on ebay and amazon. Army building older figures is a great way to be poor. Oh and thanks Hasbo for taking down hasbrotoystore.co.uk and letting us stand alone. Nice one.
order 66 is good and that place in Holland, but he is high( his prices, not himself from the coffe shops) staraction figs is the best one though. I was in The Lake District this summer ( those 17 sunny days we had, we called summer) and asked a toy shop if they got them and the guy actually laughed at me. Said Hasbro said he has to buy like 24 cases or more to get them. Seems reasonable for a Mum and Pop shop in this economy. But hey, at least Im not bitter...... I also like the LOOK AT WHAT I JUST FOUND posts. All the new goodness, and Im all like,'' I saw a Chitauri last weekend at my local TRU.'' Other places get far less than us though. We get the HALL OF ARMOUR in store here( although for £45 instead of $40... nice little 90% increase) Also most guys from the states will trade and sell so that makes it good. I have started going to ebay dot com instead of dot uk dot co and just asking shippin rates...usually cheaper to buy from there. Last edited by ukmu; 10-05-2013 at 03:19 PM.. |

too late. I was having work commitments this week and didnt get a chance to come here.Pretty much blew the toy budget on HYDRA ATTACK TROOPER #15 COMIC COLOUR VARIANT...thats a mouthful!!! picked up 3 more from America.
I am army building these and ALWAYS buying if anyone has ANY (from 1 to 27 figures)of them they dont need. They will come to a GREAT home where they can mingle with their own under SDCC Red Skull and lots of room to run around. Fresh air and lots of love for HYDRA around here! |

Scored SIX hydra guys this week. 1 from US, 1 from Singapore and 4 from a Chinese seller!!!!
Might get 4 more from the states as well. I love when they sell for less than $15 usd making it UNDER a £tenner here. Shipped loose could be like 32 quid for 4 of them. I requested a BIG order from the Chinese guy, asked him for 20 of them... he said in January he would have them. We will see. I want FIFTY of this figure.... world conquest isnt easy mates! Also scored a SDCC Maria Hill as well.................. best week for my MU collection ever!!!! |

Who did you have to kill lol It was a lot, but it would have cost almost £25-£30 for a cast head, white gun holster, paint and a Black Widow all shipped here. Then I would have had to paint a head for the first time and try to paint white boots and hands that wont flake or rub.... for a tenner more I got the real deal. Another one on eBay right now.... £40 from Jimmyz Toys aka blueduff |
