Damn this thread LOL, got me back into Hot Wheels a little bit LOL! Picked this up yesterday, I'm all in to UFO stuff so it was a no brainer for me! Gonna look for the DKR Camo Tumbler again today...

I did too, then I had to pull the trigger at $3.99...
Here's two more, The first one is the original concept for the Classic TV Batmobile (My favorite HW I have). The 2nd is from a Superman set they had at my local Weis Grocery Store a few months back...I'll have to see if they have any others.

Nice picture, your 3 pack is pretty sweet compared to mine but since it was a gift from the wife I can't really complain!
**On a side note does anyone have an extra '66 Batmobile, Batpod, or The Bat for trade? I'm pretty sure I won't see them in my area anytime soon and I would love to own them.

Same here. I kept waiting to find that "perfect" paint/sticker application on the Joker's vehicle, and eventually just stopped seeing that set. I had assumed that Mattel would eventually add the Tumbler to its main line, but I'm still kicking myself for missing for passing so many times Hopefully, it will resurface soon, as so many HW sets have the tendency to do.

Ok, so I've finally gotten around to taking pics of my collection. I've had an abysmal past few days at work, so that kinda zapped my energy and killed my enthusiasm, but here is the first of my pics. I'll post the rest once I get home from work tonight.
First, Star Trek: Like I've said before, the quality on these is lacking, but they are still decent replicas. I have an extra "Abrams" Enterprise (purchased on clearance), but I borrowed its stand for the Reliant after its broke. Oh yeah, the Romulan Bird of Prey in the back is from Johnny Lightning, not Mattel, but it looks great with these. |

i never understood the appeal of those cars. why put the superman logo on a truck or stationwagon? I never realized people actually bought them...

But getting back to HW and Starscream1973's pics. I have to say that the one in the last pic is pretty cool, as I really like the cape-as-a-spoiler design. That DC series and the similarly-styled Muppets series are sorely tempting because I love the idea of their "themed custom" looks. Something right out of Monster Garage, Fast N' Loud or Counting Cars.

Yeah, I had nearly forgotten about the Johnny Lightning ships until I spotted the Romulan ship at a local shop. I'm considering buying more of those, as well as some of the older Galoob Micro Machines Star Trek ships. However, part of me wants to save the money for those Star Trek Eaglemoss ships, but if I'm not mistaken, I think you have to join some sort of subscription club to get those

Here is my collection of the 1:50 scale Hot Wheels Batmobiles (and Bat-themed vehicles from that series).
I stupidly passed on those awesome Corgi Batmobiles about a decade ago, so I kinda overcompensated and bought more of these than I had originally intended, lol! Last edited by Frank Richards; 03-03-2014 at 12:40 PM.. |

I don't want to hog the spotlight too much longer, so I'll post one more pic and then display the rest of my collection later.
Here are the few rare items that I've decided to keep in package: Some of these are Johnny Lightning, not HW or Matchbox. I hope that's cool with everyone here The Buffy cars are some of my favorites, and they and the Supernatural Impala, in my opinion, look best on their cards. The "Abrams" Enterprises (both regular and damaged) are very fragile. A friend who bought a couple claims that his not only broke immediately after opening them, but had the decals rub off too After his experience, I'm not willing to take any chances with mine. |

nice collection mr. Richards!
I got out of trying to collect a bunch of cars after one year I tried to see if I could get every variant/re-paint. after the year was up, I had one car missing not including t-hunts and super t-hunts and was so upset. so now like most of us, I only collect the tv/movie/comic cars and the occasional t-hunt when I find them. |
