Excellent... more GL! I've had this wave preordered at BBTS for a month, now.
I have nothing in particular to say about them, except Stel looks amazing, and Sapphire looks great. And I guess I'm going to have to make sure I get two of the GL and RL figures. I'd love to see a wave that, instead of a BaF, each figure comes with a guardian (each with a unique head sculp), finishing off with a three pack, like that one, that has GL Ganthet, Sayd, and Scar. With a chase of equal run in their blue and black (respectively) lantern outfits. I'd also love to see a wave that focuses on trying to get a member of every corps out there. We still need Larfleeze, Saint Walker, and Indigo. Hopefully in wave three, we'll get Natu, or Arisa. |

Heh heh, thanks.
IMO, no Lantern corp could ever be complete without the guardians. And this is a way to get out a (nearly) complete set of them to the diehards, without trying to sell little old blue men to children so you can break even. |

Even though I just picked up a loose and complete Gentleman Ghost, I'm thrilled that Mattel finally listened to the fans and are rereleasing this figure. Though, I'm very disappointed that it's a WM exclusive, my area STILL hasn't gotten the GL 5 pack and I missed it online. I'm hoping they rerelease Guy Gardner as a single in the GL Classics.

You know Jimster, I don't know of very many people who have actually seen the GL 5pack in a store. Everyone I know had to buy it online. Maybe walmart is holding out to closer to Christmas.

It's worth a shot. I'm not really a very big message board poster (as evedence by my ten posts ;P) So I'm not sure who Doc is, or where anything needs to be asked (Or even sure what the question I posed is?).
And I managed to find the GL 5-pack in the wild. Gardner's sitting on my desk right now. (Had him being punched in the face by Batman, for a while) |

The idea of hard to find figures being brought back in Walmart exclusive 2 packs is cool, but yet another Superman? Eh, I already have Steel, but I think Steel would have been a better pack in.

I agree, Stell would have been vastly better, but perhaps better, how about Supergirl ?

They were in my area. In that a lot of them never hit the shelves here.
I want a Parasite, but not another Supes. Probably just look for one of the loose ones on ebay.

You might be right about WM holding out. For example, the ONLY times I saw wave # 10 on the pegs was 2 weeks before Christmas last year and 1 week before Easter this year. Seriously that's it played out. I don't know if you noticed but the online listing for the GL 5 pack says in limited stores.

Crazy Jetty I asked Doc over at AFT to ask Matty about your Guardians suggestion.
Hopefully we will get an answer. |

Just got Wave 1 in today from BBTS.
Quite a nice set, with some surprises. Black Hand has the new elbow and knee articulation, the Manhunter has the new knee articulation, and Abin Sur has the new elbow articulation. I was wondering how well the new troopbuilder concept, with the "Background" lanterns coming with two heads and hands, so it can be two different characters, and I have to say it's quite nice in practice. Low and Maash both came individually carded, even though they have each other's head and hands. Mongul though is way too small. I hope he gets to be a BaF later on (Maybe with a severed arm held in place with a ring energy construct. But this first wave gives me a lot of hope for the future of GL Classics. Nice. So Kyle features the standard buck then? No new articulation for him? How's Arkillo?
I'm torn between ordering GL Wave 1 next month or the Azbat's wave. I want all the figures in the GL Wave and only 4 of the figures in the Azbat's wave, but I want Bane. Argh, so difficult to decide. |

Arkillo is nice. Not as nice as Kilowog, but he now ranks as my second favorite BaF.
Woulda been cooler if his tongue as a necklace was an accessory for him. Yeah, Kyle's regular, as are Low/Maash. But Kyle has a great head sculpt, an all new lantern, and a positively beautiful sword, that's made out of harder plastic than I'm used to. I'm with you on AzBat's wave. But then that usually describes most waves. Only want a couple figures, but also want the BaF. Bane's especially frustraiting since I want as many of the Secret Six as Mattel will release. |
