Not bad at all. Interesting proton packs.

It's so retarded that Mattel can make these look good and batman vs superman so crappy. Who wants this feminist filled version of ghostbusters anyway?

Anybody know if the packing is going to be a different one than the last Matty 6' GB line?

I'm personally psyched for the movie. Like the cast (Kristen Wiig is usually pretty fantastic) & director is good. As long as the script is solid, I'm in.

Anyway, these look pretty decent! Wiig and McKinnon's sculpts aren't as strong as I'd like, but they're not terrible. |

I think if the cast were half men and half women there would be no issues at all on the gender front. My problem is I don't like Paul Feig as a director. I don't find McCarthy funny. So I am afraid GB is going to be just as bad as Bridesmaids and The Heat. On the action figure front , these look ok, My big problem is with the costume (and Ecto-1) design having all the safety orange and silver on everything.

As far as I am concerned anything with Melissa McCarthy can burn in hell.

Good god man, why? WHY?! It wasn't bad enough to put Melissa McCarthy into the movie, but to now immortalize her as a toy? What the hell is wrong with people?

Thank goodness these are being made. Can you imagine the field day feminists, bloggers, and clickbait journalists would have chastising Mattel if they didn't, especially considering there is so many options for the original film?
I have little interest in the new film as I was never a huge, die-hard fan of the original films, but at the very least, we get to avoid the headache of seeing anti-Mattel/toy industry stories laced with outrageous claims of misogynistic venom from the likes of Fox News and Buzzfeed when the film releases...unless of course they are smart enough to figure out that the Melissa McCarthy figure kinda has a passing resemblance to George Costanza if you were to pop off the ponytail... Still...neat set of of figs for fans of the franchise. |

The sculpts are surprisingly good! After the lackluster Mattel sculpts lately, I would expect a lot worse. That being said, I'm not sure how many people will show interest in these. I don't think Mattel has ever made an all female line if figures, other than Barbies.
I think the quality of these sculpts will help with sales. Personally I have zero interest. I would've loved a Ghostbusters sequel 10-20 years ago. Did the 4 Horseman sculpt these? |

Mattel still has the Ghostbusters license?

Give it time guys. This is Mattel after all. There's still plenty of time before they go into production for Mattel to royally screw up the likenesses.

So we can have a quartet of overweight and kind of ugly bad comedians/actresses made into action figures, but never get a good movie Scarlet Witch and have certain Princess Leia figures that can't be made anymore? So much for the people who say female action figures don't get produced. They do, but only the approved type of female action figure. I'm glad I'm not a Ghostbusters fan.

Bad female comedians replacing good male comedians is no different than bad male comedians replacing good female comedians. And now that you mention it, female comedians from the mid 1900s were great!

If these were 3.75" I'd get 'em for customs. There's a nice array of body shapes and head sculpts there that you just don't see in that scale very often. I haven't been "into" Ghostbusters since I was a kid though and my favorite one keeps getting shafted anyway so I wouldn't have interest in them collectable-wise.

I just Googled it. A 22% on Rotten Tomatoes? Pixels only got a 17% and Grown Ups 2 a 7%. Must be one of his better ones.
