MattyCollector.com has just posted the 2009 SDCC Exclusives for sale on their website.
Included: Wonder Twins for the DC Universe Classics Series for $40 (If you were live at comic con you could have also gotten Gleek}. These are very cool sculpts by the Horsemen but also the box is constructed so that they can touch rings and you here the very familiar “Wonder Twin Powers Activate Form of…” DC Universe Infinite Heroes Anti-Monitor Action Figure. For $10. Now the Huge one was much cooler but this is a great, needed piece for your collection. If you want to recreate the Final Crisis you will need 2 of these so that you can cut one apart to use for your Universe Collider. Justice League Unlimited Green Lantern Origins 3-Pack for $20. This is the closest most of us will ever get to an officially licensed Hal Jordan GL figure. The heads are swappable so that Hal can both do what he always wanted to do to Sinestro (behead him) plus exercise his personal fashion sense with different uniforms. Set includes Hal in a flight suit, Sinestro and Abin Sur Also for the MOTU guys and gals there is He – Ro to look at and some other Disney collectibles for all you Mickey fans. Enjoy |

Nice, though I don't feel like paying forty dollars to keep my DCUC collection complete. IH Anti-monitor is tempting at only ten dolars.

I just picked up the GL set with Hal, Abin Sur and Sinestro. The transaction was fairly smooth today.

$40 may seem a stretch for the twins but they do come with cool accessories. I think there is a pale for Jan as water and an eagle for Jan and she can carry the bucket. No sibling rivalry here.
Of course having the Gleek would have been very cool. But on Ebay they are going for $60 or more with Gleek. I wish they had taken the voice chip and actually placed the in the figures with a proximity sensor in their hands so that when they touch the voice chips would activate. Or even without the sensor, just a push button. I mean I guess I could go to build-a-bear and get one of those voice box and attach them to their back. But just the same I couldn’t pass them up, I mean I never thought I would ever see them. Besides if we stop buying these, they will stop making them. I think the JLU 3 packs are already in trouble. And man there are some cool figures, I want them to make. |

Anybody else have problems with MattyCollector accepting a credit card? The turdmonkey customer service rep said there must be a problem with the the card / account. That's funny the card just got its limit bumped to $27k (why, I don't know, they just keep bumping the limit). Plus the cable, power, and insurance companies have no trouble billing my card monthly.

I just received the Wonder Twins in the mail that I bought off ebay. The auction was for the Wonder Twins WITH GLEEK and the seller didn't send Gleek. I'm so friggin pissed off right now.
And it took awhile for the package to arrive, the seller wouldn't provide tracking, etc. So I bet he just ordered it off Mattycollector and once it arrived he just mailed it to me!! And I also bought a He-Ro SDCC exclusive off this seller. And there's no fucking way to tell if it's the SDCC version or the mattycollector version without opening the figure. Now I'm wondering if he just ordered this from mattycollector too? This is from a seller with 670 positive feedbacks. 100% positive. I emailed him and I hope he makes this right but I'm fuming right now. |
