For comic figures, the hard truth for me is that I'm not interested in going too deep with any DC line. I did that with DCUC and wasn't happy with the collection I had amassed once the hype wore off at the end of the line. I ended up selling off most of my Mattel figures which was a waste. So I'm primarily going to stick to Batman and Superman characters but I'll occasionally cherry pick some of the other heroes and villains that I'm interested in. |

I'd love if they did Rebirth Hawkgirl if only because it looks like the DC Multiverse one from Mattel is cancelled.

I'm so sick and tired of Batman and Superman that I'm not sure if I ever want to collect anything revolving around those two unless they are involved in major other properties.

LOL looks like someone at McFarlane noticed. Both the Instagram post and the store listings were taken down.

A Walmart system listing for the first wave was allegedly discovered, and it lines up with the leak.

With 2020 like two weeks away I'm surprised we haven't even seen any protos or anything.

Judging from the quality of their recent offerings (Doom, Mortal Kombat), I think McFarlane has taken on too much and is rushing things out at the last second. The Doom and MK figures are poorly-designed (especially in terms of articulation) and poorly-painted, and I have a feeling that the DC figures will end up making the Mattel figures look like NECA's.

Hmmmmmmmm.... I don't hate that Superman, but the ankle and wrist joints are kinda funky. Plus, why is that Batman a weird quasi-animated/ realistic style?

Thanks for sharing, but no source means I can't share them. There are also photos floating around of CW TV Series Arrow, and BTAS Batman. If these photos are released, it means pre-orders are likely hitting very soon.

Seeing all of McFarlane's upcoming products, he still has a long way to go if he wants that "King of Action Figure" crown again.

The regular Batman looks rather odd but Superman looks alright. We'll just have to wait and see how they actually come out.

I like Superman, but no double joint elbows? The head sculpt seems a bit.....I don’t know....flat?....generic? The Batman head is very weak in my opinion. I don’t like the hard capes on these nor do I like the cape on the shoulders. I prefer soft good capes now.
The 2 deluxe sized figures look great. Green arrow looks really great. Animated Batman looks way off. It’s like new adventures and the animated series were combined for that one. Animated Superman looks bad. That hair sticking out in back is killing me, like a bad hair piece. Honestly I’m a bit underwhelmed, but perhaps in hand some of these will be better. I have high hopes for his movie figures, again arrow looks great. Last edited by Comedian; 01-01-2020 at 09:02 PM.. |

I don't get why they're using the single-hinge elbows so frequently. It's like if there's any significant amount of bicep at all, they go single-hinge instead of double. I mean, I get it on the bulky armors and the animated figures, but on a normal-proportion comics Superman? Why not just go for the double-hinge there?

None of these figures look very good if you look at them closely.
Weird, kinda ugly articulation that changes from figure to figure (there's no standard). Hideous mid-torso joints abound. The proportions are way off on most of the figures. Face sculpts mostly look bad. Sloppy paint (not uniformly, but consistently). Everything is generic looking, except maybe the armored Batman & Superman figures, which look cool, but it's strange to use them to kick off your new DC line. Makes more sense to start with the basics. Glad I'm not a DC guy. I'll stick with Hasbro & Marvel Legends, thanks. Last edited by Dolemite; 01-01-2020 at 09:15 PM.. |

These look good in general but the Bats head sculpt and legs are kinda weak.
Supes looks good thou. Keep in mind that he made these figs in reference with the pics that are next to the figs. DC Multiverse is Back!!!!!!!! Last edited by Vamp; 01-01-2020 at 09:20 PM.. |

Makes more sense to start with the basics. Glad I'm not a DC guy. I'll stick with Hasbro & Marvel Legends, thanks. I'm sorta not following. Look at the pictures to the side. They are adapting the comic and animated designs which is why proportions are off. Hasbro Legends/lightning Collection lines use the same bodies. So it's a little funny to call these out for being generic looking when Hasbro generally uses the same male bodies but with different paint apps. Comparing paint apps I think Hasbro tends to be about as sloppy. Not really following the generic looking either though. That's what Superman and Batman look like. I think they look good. Id be very interested in grabbing that Action Comics Superman. Now here's my primary concern. So the torso's look like they would have great articulation if the abs section wasn't blocking the rotation. Based on the shadows there may actually be room. To me I think the articulation will still be better with the Hasbro figures but I can't say Marvel Legends is much better then this with the generic body builds and paint apps. I do wish they hadn't molded the capes or at least made them detachable. Limits what you can do. Also I gotta compare to Mattel. Those figures looked like Hasbro's $10 figures. But yeah. AC Superman, Batman, and Green Arrow I'm interested in. The armored forms I would need to see a review because those look like statues in terms of articulation. The animated forms are a little rough with the heads. Heck you can see Batman's mask have a scar on the face. Like I said I wish the capes detached. STAS Superman is rougher. Yeah he's got some mini mullet going on in the back. Looks like the took the Justice League Season 1 design which had this much larger torso. Yeah his legs look super small here. I think they could have been less extreme. |
