I think the McFarlane Demogorgon will work perfect with the Funko scaled figures.

Kinda surprised Dustin and Lucas are being released before Mike. I hope McFarlane can get all of the main kids out. I see this collection being an all or nothing situation.

Just finished binge watching season 1 this weekend. For those curious, it’s Goonies-meets-silent hill, with a sprinkle of xfiles.
Fantastic series. Really interested in figures of the show, but my wife will have nightmares if I get the demogorgon...

Glad to see that McFarlane is adding more articulation to their figures. I was definitely expected the Demogorgon figure to be pre-posed with minimal articulation, but seeing as this figure looks to be fully articulated is a very pleasant surprise.
The only thing that could make this figure better for me is an alternate closed mouthed demogorgon head and a more slender/ taller looking frame silhouette (this figure just doesn't 100 percent capture that slender figure the demogorgon had in the show). Other than that this looks to be the start of a promising action figure line. I just want these to be out already and get them in hand. |

There doesn't seem to be any give for those mouth pieces to move forward to close (at least you can't tell from the pic).

Depends on how they planned it. Could be separate pieces that can be swapped out, or possibly even just for McFarlaen, so they can swap out the mouth for a variant figure in the future. But there's definitely cuts there.

Yeah, I was thinking either swap out parts or just segmented for ease of production.

I think they're just separately tooled pieces and not actual articulated parts, but that's just my two cents!

Nice to actually see the Demogorgon figure! Love the design. Excited to see better in hand pics when they eventually release.

Aaaaaannnnd sold! Seriously though the head sculpt on Lucas is pretty darn accurate. And the production samples of Hopper and Eleven are also top notch. With the popularity of the show these are a few McFarlane figures that I don't see staying on the shelves for very long at all.
I haven't been this excited for a new figure license in a long time. I mostly buy NECA and Diamond Select figures, but this is the first McFarlane licenses that I've been wanting to jump on from the start. I'll take the main cast, side characters and the eventual season 2 outfit varients in a heartbeat! P.S. I know we're nowhere near it, but who would be up for some ghostbusters costume variants of the main quartet in a future wave? |

That Demogorgon will look great fighting some Mythic Legion figures!

I think the figures look great but BUT why do all these companies insist on those ugly hips. It ruins figures once you pose them. It's insidiously bad and probably costs more to do due to the number of parts used.

Season 2 (probably forever) ruined Dustin's character for me and he was my fav from the first season.

Oof, I wish I could agree with you less. I hate these ugly cut hip joints. McFarlane and Diamond Select seem late to the game with articulation, and they are also the primary culprits. Hopefully this is something they will eliminate through evolution.

Dang, I JUST bought the Funko figures and now I see these. Oh well, theres worse things than having two sets of Stranger Things figures in different sizes.

I think they need to get back and re-work Lucas... That doesn't really look like him at all.
