If these have articulation like the Star Trek and Stranger things figures, then I'll be in on these. But the likenesses on the 3D sculpted faces for Maggie and Negan are nowhere near as good as their usual sculpts. Perhaps the final product will be more accurate. Likenesses on The Walking Dead figures have been pretty spot on up to this point.

I wonder if Color Tops is like thier testing ground for new techniques (3-D sculpts, increased articulation, face printing) Side note, anyone else think it's odd that we haven't gotten a single zombie in this line for them to fight?

Color Tops was meant to be their end all be all for their 7" line. The plan was to use a unified packaging scheme and numbering system to entice fans to but items they normally wouldn't. It didn't quite go as planned, as fans didn't go for it, and many releases went on clearance or sat on shelves.

So they're moving away from the Color Tops branding, and giving each license their own unique branding.

Poor Todd, still thinks we're in that "gotta collect 'em all" mindset (well some of us still are haha) I imagine they didn't do well with the Color Tops name because stores didn't care about the difference between Gears of War, Walking Dead and Assassins Creed, they just knew they had 16 red boxes clogging up shelves so they shouldn't bother to order more :P

I read "Maggie" and got excited. Then I saw the figure with that jacket and got sad. I was kinda hoping for a little more skin, I guess.

Glad to see Maggie join the fray of the newer McFarlane figs. It'd be nice to see Carol next.

Well there's a lot of licenses that couldn't sustain a line, like 1 or 2 characters that'd really sell, and have more known characters and license carry other niche ones on to shelves. I liked the idea fwiw, but the execution just didn't line up with today. The figures look great, but they're closer to like a banpresto statue range. The lack of modern articulation was the death knell. Got the Spawn though, I'm happy with him as a statue, the other stuff, you gotta give me desire to play and pose it to incentives me for it. Have yet to pick up a Destiny figure but though seems to be better.
