This is great!
I was just re-watching the scenes with Negan a few minutes ago and I thought ''Man, I need a toy'' and now I see this! ''Rick, I'm not going to lie. You're kitchen is a goddamn mess!''

Know nothing about these but that looks great. Are these figures worth it for $20? Looks like a small statue to me. Also isn't this a fairly new line this is what wave 2 or 3?

And, in my opinion, yes, for $20 it is totally worth it. Even though these do have articulation, they are basically statues, but they look damn good and $20 for a 7" statue is a steal. |

#23? Shit I thought they just started and released only Rick, Carl and Michonne and maybe Daryl? Did they change or something?

Its #23 in the whole color tops series not necessarily the walking dead series.

They ultimately are statues. I've gotten both of the Gears of War color tops so far and the articulation outside of the arms and head is completely useless and in some cases its presence detracts from the figure. I like them but for $20 I would normally expect better paint, definitely items to be checked in stores and not ordered online.

I just went and looked at a couple others online. Horrible looking compared to this guy.

All of TWD and FTWD ones so far have been sculpted really well, with spot-on likenesses, except for Rick. The face is not quite there and the shoulders are way too narrow. MIchonne, Daryl, Abraham, Travis, and Madison have all been top notch. The one area that they can be improved upon is paint apps. There is a lot of errant splotches. But…the characters are all so grimy that it almost works. Almost.
Also, keep in mind that the Negan shown is a computer generated prototype and not an actual figure. Last edited by SpasticPlastic; 12-13-2016 at 05:43 PM.. |

Well it's also pretty obvious this is a digital preview we're seeing so of course they're going to touch it up to look better. Like I said I've only gotten the GoW ones so far but I will add that the only TWD one I've liked so far is Michonne. Almost every other TWD one I've seen either has super dirty paint (not in a beneficial "hey we're supposed to look dirty" way) or what looks like pink lipstick, Abraham I think looked fine but they went with such a specific look that reduces the desirability of an already less popular character.

I do agree that Abraham should have been released in his more iconic tank top outfit first and maybe the dress blues for an exclusive or variant down the line, since i'm sure if the line lives long enough, we'll get multiples of all the characters.

Looks really good, and I appreciate that there is some articulation. That said, I'm confused as to why they included knee bends when there is no articulation in the hips.

I think almost every Color Tops figure has had knee bends but no hip movement therefor making the knee bends completely useless.

Wasn't there an announcement that the Color Tops TWD figures would be fully articulated due to popular demand?

Upon closer inspection, Nega does look to have some form of articulation in his hips. You can see the cut for movement in this pic, which is the same type of cut Dwight is sporting at his hips:

Just do a statue or do a figure. Make a dang decision McFarlane. I mean, the arm articulation is good as long as the body is sculpted to support multiple poses but the dang knee joints are perplexing!
