I'd love to order the complete 'full meal deal' version presented at the Mezco website, but they require you to set up a PO box in the USA for international orders, and that worries me. Hope springs eternal: I'll wait until Mezco decides to offer some through an alternate channel (a ToyArk sponsor?) with direct shipping. Alternately, there's always the secondary market, though pre-orders don't seem to be surfacing...

The more I see these figs, the more impressed I become. I hope they catch on and that Mezco expands the line. It'd be great to see what they could do with a classic Aquaman or classic Captain America. I'm interested in how well Mezco could pull off the chainmail that both of those characters sport.....

I'm not a fan of Batman or Dread, but these figs are stellar! I agree with your take that these figs are no-brainers for purchase. Growing up at the tail-end of the Mego era (late 70's into the 80's), I have a soft spot in my nostalgic heart for figs with clothes....not an easy task to succeed at, but Mezco is off to a great start!

My Dredd fandom stems only from the movies (yes, I even liked the first one) but I'm definitely considering this action figure. It looks great. If I was a bigger fan of TDKR, I'd be all over that as well.

Any particular reason why these are so expensive? It's a six inch figure with cloth clothes and accessories, price is definitely too much for me!

Four sets of hands, two swappable heads, swappable legs, figure stand, weapons, grapnel gun, 30+ points of articulation. Price may seem high, but it's not like it's just a Marvel Legends figure with a cloth outfit.

They're $65 from BBTS and from Mezco. Whoever is selling them for $75 is overcharging.

$65 plus shipping is going to put it at $75 or more from a lot of places.
Definitely shop around, though. I ordered the non-Previews version for $56. After shipping it should still be less than BBTS' pre-shipping price. |

Yeah, it's a shame that Mezco has shifted their focus to very static, statuesque "action" figures. Mezco's Hellboy comic and movie figures were both gorgeous and highly articulated, so I'm glad to see that they're planning to return to that approach.

Does anyone know what this BBTS listing is about?
1:12 Scale Judge Dredd Action Figure Cursed Earth PX Previews Exclusive - Judge Dredd / 2000 AD Figures A special edition of the Dredd we've already seen, that comes with the Cursed Earth comic? Or a weathered uniform? Or a whole new, ruined, uniform that pays homage to this cover? |

Haven't heard anything on it until I saw the pre-order in the last newsletter. Waiting for Mezco to say something on it.

What's the difference between the Puerto Rico Comic Con one and the original Mezco Exclusive dark blue and gray one? They look exactly the same to me?

It's the same as the mezco exclusive only with the oval instead of the big blocky bat. I bought the px previews version because it covered all the bases like Mego etc. If I buy another version I'll want the blocky bat symbol. I'll have to hope for a fifth color variant because all that's left is the light blue version again that hasn't had the big symbol.
Edit: Woah, I just saw the 300 pieces tag. More signs this line is too collector for the sake of it. I'm crazy enough, I try to spend my money on tangible things. Last edited by Openchallenge; 05-15-2015 at 11:51 AM.. |
