Seems silly to do a limited series of 300 for a figure in such high demand. Prices in the secondary market are outrageous. I don't know what their regular production runs are like, or if they even have capacity, but if I was in charge of the decision based strictly on demand, I'd open it up and run at least another 10-20 thousand of the most popular version.

I know companies keep this kind of business intelligence close to their chest, and rightly so, but let's play with some extremely conservative numbers: if just .001% of the 321,000.000 people in the United States of America are toy collectors, and if .001% of those are willing to shell out nearly $100 for this figure, that brings exactly 321 immediate sales.
Considering how quickly the figure sold out at many prominent online retailers, and the loony prices being demanded in the secondary market, bearing in mind the popularity of Frank Miller's original story, and barring deeper market analysis, I would expect sales of at least 30,000 figures. |

Well said. I just pulled those numbers out of the air, obviously. I'll stick to my guns with the expectation that Mezco will re-issue figures in logical groupings. For example, I highly doubt that the upcoming Mutant Leader will command anything like the same demand, so they'll probably issue him along with Robin, and Joker will probably be issued along with Dum and Dee, or something like that, and somewhere down the line there will be a complete set. That's my hopeful speculation, because I ain't paying the secondary market price, 'no way, no how.'
