Why does Jason wear an undershirt? Is he really concerned about pitstains when his sole purpose is to kill horny teens?

Like you, Joe, I was initially unimpressed by the promo shots of this figure, and I was going to give it a pass...and I collect pretty much EVERY Jason that comes out. But after watching some YouTube reviews I really warmed to the figure and picked it up, and in-hand it's a totally different experience.
The Mezco One:12 stuff is hard to judge by pics sometimes because they come across as being in a larger scale then they actually are, but one you're holding one and realize it's the same exact scale as a Marvel Legends figure, they're way more impressive. I agree that the line as a whole is hit-or-miss, but I'm really happy with the job they did on Jason. No, it's not perfect, but any issues are just minor quibbles. Overall, the figure looks great, feels really high-end, has a ton of accessories, great articulation (double-jointed knees and elbows!), zero QC issues, perfect paint, and...DAT HUMP. Great addition to my Jason shelf! I can't wait to take some pics of him stalking my Legends figs. BTW, I don't seem to have the issue with the undershirt that you're having... The colors on the pants are off Joe...I'll give you that. On the complaint of the cleanliness though...to be fair...the film does open with Jason possibly stealing laundry off of a clothesline shortly before making his first two kills. (At least...that's how I always interpreted that scene...)
This is my first One:12 and I'm quite impressed with it. The articulation is really well executed despite the soft goods, and you can pull off some terrific poses that the NECA figures, despite their sculpted awesomeness, just can't quite nail. About the only complaint that I have with the figure is the mask itself. I feel that it's just a tad bit undersized, and fits a little too tightly to the face. It looks alright from side angles, but from the front, it just looks a bit off. Jason's eyes should be a bit more recessed into it. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 04-18-2019 at 06:31 PM.. |

I love this figure, no qualms about the clean clothes at all..but the actual fabric is pretty wonky...they look like fake clothes.

Plus, I always assumed he was stealing and scavenging to survive into his adult years, something that was fleshed out a little better in the remake than in the original films. I'd also like to think that Jason is a Snuggle guy, since the bear reminds him of his osito...but you are probably right. I'm not sure Snuggle existed in 1982. Thank you for the kind words Sir. The victim in the shot is a Marvel Legends Jessica Jones figure with a modded Dagger head. Not only makes for a great civilian figure, but could pass for a Legends version of Buffy in a pinch. As for her hands, they are there. They are hard to see because she is wearing the gloved JJ fist hands. |

This figure is getting a re-release, pretty odd but I guess Friday the 13th? Maybe exclusive to Mezco's site, but I think it's been available at or near retail for the most part anyway I think?
