Hasbro has finally done it, they have eclipsed the Toy Biz wave 6 brown costume Marvel Legends Wolverine mold, with the new Marvel Legends X-Force Wolverine. Yes the same one in the SDCC set but the single packed version is the one I have, I don't have the SDCC set.
This mold is awesome. Very fun to handle. FINALLY someone made the claws right. No rubbery flimsy play dough claws here. Swivel/hingel jointed wrists? Awesome. Articulation? Excellent all around. Rocker ankles? Hell yea. I read somewhere that this mold itself uses the Toy Biz brown costume Wolvy as the base(torso or something, I forget), and with parts from Bucky Cap. The latter I am not sure on but damn, this figure freaking rules. Best mass market Wolverine figure ever produced. Wolverine is my favorite Marvel character so I have plenty of Wolverines. Been collecting them since 90 or 91 with the 1st Toy Biz figure. So the brown costume is dear to me. Anyways, I get the feeling Hasbro will repaint this with new gloves, and boots, in the brown costume colors. I want to see this. I hope they make a new 1st Appearance Sabretooth using their new Modern Sabertooth mold too. It looks like they designed that mold with plans to make classic versions of Sabretooth later too, it can't be that hard. Just need to sculpt a new mane, head, and some other parts. Yea the Toy Biz one was good but the plastic quallity on the later Face Offs to me was bad. Anyways, the the Toy Biz Brown Costume Wolvy is a great mold, but the new X-Force one is even better. If Hasbro makes a new brown costume Wolverine figure using the X-Force mold as a base with the new aforementioned parts, I would buy it. Do you think Hasbro will do this? Also...crazy to see Hasbro surpassing Toy Biz...that's rare...it happens sure but yea..this figure is awesome

That's good.
Because it's going to be repeated for him a hell of a lot with only a few minor tweaks. xD |
