Thankfully my he-man is perfect. Well other than that darn knife I keep losing.
Beautiful pics. These are I believe the best motuc ever made. I can’t stop handling these. Other than the sail barge, these are the first toys I did not rush to my toy room. I opened these up while I watched the 87 film. If only I had ribs as well. |

Killer photos! My Dark Despot Skeletor arrived on Saturday, he’s so cool! Definitely my favorite of the wave as well. Think I’ll get the He-Man, but I am a little scared of the quality. I saw Pixel Dan’s review, and was disappointed that He-Man can’t hold the small knife, and the dagger is really loose. Even the blaster seemed loose in his hand. Extra hands would have been better than that terrible extra head.

Man, that Skeletor is a mighty fine piece of work and these photos really show it off.

Should be getting golden god skeletor in today hopefully. BTW, looks like you're going to have to heat one of the tendril things on his helmet back into place, if you haven't already.

Looks good. Sadly 30 years too late. I wanted these in 1987.

I'm like a half in the package on display half out of the package loose on display kind of a collector. Packaged stuff up on the walls and loose figures on shelves. I'd be inclined to open these simply because the fact that the logo covers the figures face bugs me to no end. While I appreciate them keeping the same style card Mattel's been using, these to me at least needed to be redesigned. Then after seeing so many qc issues with He-Man alone (and the fact that it just doesn't look like Dolph), kinda glad I spent the $50 on another figure instead.

I don’t know if this was mentioned but he-man is about half an inch taller than all other he-man figures. That is why he is covered by the logo. I also get that this figure had some issues for Joe, but most do not have those issues.
On a packaging design change, I’m half and a half. On one hand they are part of classics and with these last 4 releases that makes 170 different figures on the same card. Yes 170 individual masters of the universe classics figures all uniformed. To change the last 4 would have been tough. That said I would have loved movie packaging but remember, these are not based on the movie exactly. These are the William stout collection. Still no movie rights, just rights to the costumes designed by Stout. All in all,I’m pretty happy. Sure new adventures needed finishing and more film figures would have been great, but what a ride. Now bring on snake mountain! |

It's a shame these are likely all we'll ever get from the movie. A 2nd wave with Beast Man, Evil Lyn, Teela, and Man-at-Arms is all we would have needed to complete the main movie cast.

That caveat probably kept them from making Skeletor's troopers (my biggest want and 2nd best design in the movie) since that one was a Ralph McQuarrie design.
